According to 'Quiet On Set' filmmaker Mary Robertson, Brian Peck was "aware that we petitioned the court to unseal the letters of support" and he "hired a lawyer to oppose that."

"Obviously, the court disagreed with that," Robertson told Variety. "And there’s certainly, I think, a lot of questions about what happened in the years after he was convicted, after he went to jail and registered as a sex offender and continued to work in Hollywood on sets — including sets with children — for many years.”

Television directors Beth and Rich Correll as well as 'Boy Meets World' actors Will Friedle and Rider Strong were among those who wrote letters.

Former Disney Channel star Rider Strong called Brian Peck "undoubtedly one of the funniest people [he has] ever met."

"Unlike most people, however, Brian does not harbor any desperate or depressed feelings for which his humor compensates," Strong continued. "He is intelligent, well-informed, and very straightforward."

"It was extremely disturbing to learn of Brian's arrest. Maliciousness is so antithetical to his nature, it is impossible for me to comprehend a situation that would lead him to do something illegal or even inappropriate," he later added.

"I have known Brian [Peck] since 1981. We were both in our first movie together. We both played nerds so none of the other cast members talked to us because they thought we really were nerds. So we spent the six weeks it took to shoot the film, 'The Last American V-rgin', together. I was struck by how nice Brian [Peck] was.

He was totally generous with his time and advice, I had never acted before and he helped me do everything. After that we became best friends and did all kinds of things together. We have become like family. Sharing holidays at my house with his parents and my parents, going on vacations together, making our way in this business and avoiding all the rotten people that are so attracted to acting, and actors."

She added that she believes "Brian [Peck] was pressured and pushed beyond belief before he caved in with [Redacted]" and then asked the judge to see the "rarity of an honest, sweet, and caring man."
