Kevin Costner Is Allegedly ‘Bitter’ About His Ex-wife Dating His Banker Friend

Baumgartner and Connor reportedly started dating in January and have gone on to flaunt their relationship in public, with a source claiming she is "happy," but this has seemingly left Costner "bitter and far from happy."

The "Yellowstone" star is reportedly infuriated that his ex-wife has moved on with his banker friend Josh Connor months after their divorce was finalized.

Connor was a friend and neighbor to the now-divorced couple and reportedly started his relationship with Baumgartner on a platonic note. However, that heated up quickly, as a source told PeopleMagazine in January that he and Baumgartner had been dating "since she split from Kelvin."

The pair's relationship has allegedly left Costner unhappy and "bitter."

"Kevin is very bitter and far from happy to see Christine and Josh so obviously happy and planning their lives together," a source told the National Enquirer (per Radar Online).

"It pains him more than anything to know they're living high on the hog on his dime — and every time one of those big monthly support checks goes out, it makes him sick to his stomach," they continued.

Costner's ex-wife seems to not care about what he thinks and is not shying away from flaunting her new romance for all to see.

According to the DailyMail, she was recently spotted out and about with her financier boyfriend as they enjoyed a lunch date and went shopping in Calabasas.

Baumgartner was smiling ear-to-war as she stepped out in a trendy look for the outing with a white t-shirt and dark 90s-style jeans.

She accessorized with gold jewelry and a purse which she carried over her shoulder, as her blonde locks were left to flow downward.

For his part, Connor wore a black T-shirt and joggers paired with trendy sneakers and sunglasses. The pair seemed happy as they strolled and engaged in animated conversations.

According to US Weekly, another source previously shared that Baumgartner feels she doesn't owe Costner an explanation and that she doesn't think he "has anything to complain about."

"Josh has been Christine's rock throughout the divorce ordeal. If Kevin has a problem with that, that's on him," the source told the publication.

Meanwhile, the "Draft Day" actor has since moved on with his new romantic interest, Jewel, but has reportedly been unable to ease the pain his ex-wife and his old friend's relationship has brought him.

A source who spoke to Radar said that Jewel is taken aback by the level of interest in their relationship and has opted to take things slowly.

The insider went on to note that Costner heard Baumgartner and Connor "might even get engaged — and to say it infuriates him is an understatement."

On the other hand, the actor's relationship with Jewel seemingly hit a rough patch. The folk singer has reportedly grown frustrated with Costner's "obsession" with his appearance and has brought it up with him to prevent any wedge between them.

"Jewel likes him a lot, but she's told him he needs to stop this obsession with his appearance if he wants her to stick around," the insider narrated. "She liked him for his swashbuckling, cavalier attitude. This isn't the man she thought she knew."

Another issue that reportedly caused a spat between the "Let Him Go" actor and the "Foolish Games" singer was their living arrangement after Jewel declined Costner's request for her to move in together.

According to Radar, a source disclosed that their long-distance relationship has had a toll on Costner. He wants to always spend time with her, but she's refused to uproot her life for Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, where he lives.

"They're not seeing a lot of each other right now, and Kevin seems to feel that the more he spruces himself up, the more it'll turn her on," the insider said. "But the reality is the opposite."

"She's not into all the Hollywood phony-baloney, so she sure as heck doesn't want to be with a man who's caught up in that shallowness," the source continued. "If Kevin wants to hang on to her, he needs to cool it with all the so-called self-improvement."

In an interview with Elle, the singer seemingly confirmed that she is dating Costner while discussing her life and career.

Jewel described the "Yellowstone" star as "a great person." However, Jewel revealed that the public's attention on their relationship has not gone unnoticed, as she described fans' "fascination" with them as "intense."

Rumors of the duo being an item first swirled after they were captured being cozy around guests during a private charity event on a mutual friend's island.

At the time, Jewel also took to social media to share highlights from the event, further confirming the duo's closeness.
