A-List celebrities have arrived at the 2024 Met Gala, but Doja Cat is someone who is standing out thanks to her wardrobe choice.

The 2024 Met Gala is taking place at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City with the theme of "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion."

While the dress code is "The Garden of Time," Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Raina Zandile Dlamini, stepped out in nothing but a bath towel.

Doja Cat Shocks The World At 2024 Met Gala

The 'Paint The Town Red' artist certainly stood out at this year's Met Gala as she bared it all in a white towel, and fans were not impressed.

"Doja, I know this is supposed to be funny, but it's lame," one user wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

"This ain’t on theme," another pointed out.

"She forgot to wear her dress after bathing," a third said.

One X user called her outfit an "epic fail." "Doja Cat should’ve sat this one out and stayed home! An epic fail," they wrote.

Doja Cat 'Never Understood The Assignment'

In addition to her bath towel, her makeup was made to look like she had been crying or was fresh out of the shower as it streamed down her face.

"She never understood the assignment," one X user said.

"She wants to be off-theme so bad," another said along with a skull emoji.

"I can’t defend her on this, she’s given me NO CHOICE," one fan said.

Doja Cat's Pre-Met Gala Look

The 28-year-old rapper made headlines earlier when she was spotted shopping for diamonds in a white bedsheet and black Christian Louboutin heels.

At first glance, it appears she has a bedsheet draped around her, but Entertainment Tonight reports that it is actually a dress designed by the fashion label Vetements.

Other Celebrities Stun Fans At 2024 Met Gala

While Doja Cat showed up in a towel, other celebrities played to the theme, including Zendaya, who wore a custom-made Maison Margiela John Galliano dress, adorned with hand-painted metallic crinkles in shades of green, purple and blue.

Met Gala co-chair Jennifer Lopez opted for a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown, which featured over 2 million silver foil beads and required over 800 hours of hand embroidery.

Plus, Supermodel Ashley Graham stepped out in a fitted Ludovic de Saint Sernin gown, featuring a black corset and metal and Swarovski crystals. According to the model, each piece of metal and crystal was hand-placed, and the gown took 500 hours to make.
