Demi Lovato In Skimpy Bikini Celebrates ‘National Cellulite Day’

Demi Lovato was the epitome of body positivity as she stripped down to a skimpy, animal-print bikini to proudly showcase her unedited body in 2019. Marking National Cellulite Day, the former Disney star dropped jaws with her Instagram share, one showing her all sunkissed and poolside, and there definitely wasn't any Photoshop going on. Demi, who was 27 years old at the time, posted from her luxurious Bora Bora getaway, showing off her healthy curves and reminding fans that not all celebrities airbrush their photos. While Demi has now deleted the shots from her feed, media outlets and fan accounts have kept them alive.

Scroll for the photos. Posing from a plunge pool opening onto blissful ocean waters, Demi raised one leg out of the water as she struck a confident pose while turning her head toward the camera.

Flaunting her shapely waistline and legs, plus her curvaceous backside, the "Confident" hitmaker kept it stylish in a leopard-print bikini with a strapless finish, also throwing in a knotted back tie. With pops of black on her briefs adding an extra edge, Demi placed one hand to her knee as she also showed off naturally glowing skin, but her dark shades added an edgy feel.

Proving that thick thighs save lives, the eating disorder survivor celebrated her curves in a caption, writing: "This is my biggest fear. A photo of me in a bikini unedited. And guess what, it’s CELLULIT!!!! [sic]"

"I’m just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body, editing it (yes the other bikini pics were edited – and I hate that I did that but it’s the truth) so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful is, but it’s just not me," the much-loved singer continued. Adding that "this" is what she's "got," Demi further told fans: "I want this new chapter in my life to be about being authentic to who I am rather than trying to meet someone else’s standards.”

Also shared as part of the shoot was this shot. Giving a guns-blazing vibe as she shot the lens down from turquoise ocean waters and in sunlight, Demi tugged up her briefs, this time showing off her cleavage and toned abs as she proved that fit and healthy is 100% her best look.

Lovato has a long history of substance abuse, but also of suffering from an eating disorder. The star has revealed that she began purging aged just 12.

Of growing up around her mom who also suffered from an eating disorder, the brunette stated: "Even though I was two or three years old, being around somebody who was 80 pounds and had an active eating disorder…it's hard not to grow up like that." Demi is now recovered and also happily engaged to fiance Jutes!
