Jim Parsons Teases ‘Big Bang Theory’s Character Reprisal Ahead Of ‘Young Sheldon’ Series Finale

Jim Parsons is teasing his Sheldon Cooper character reprisal from The Big Bang Theory ahead of the Young Sheldon series finale.

In a video shared on TikTok, Iain Armitage is seen trying on a new filter, with Parsons making a cameo.

“So, apparently there’s a new filter that shows you what it looks like when you grow up,” Armitage says. “I don’t know how accurate it is going to be, but let me try it out.”

Parsons joins and says, “Hmm, I’m not sure about this. Oh! It changes your voice, too… I don’t like it!”

Parsons recently teased his Young Sheldon appearance while visiting the Today show and calling the experience “very weird” and “also very beautiful.”

Big Bang Theory was always a live-audience show and Young Sheldon is a single-camera show, and I got to do it with Mayim — we both played Sheldon and Amy from the series — and to do it in that situation, it was just different enough that it wasn’t creepy,” Parsons said on the NBC morning show. “Like going like, ‘What are we doing here again?!’ Instead, it was really sweet. It felt like the nicest little coda to the whole experience, and I was very grateful that they asked us to do it.”

Parsons played Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory throughout its 12-season run. The actor also narrated Young Sheldon through all seven seasons. Parsons will appear alongside Mayim Bialik in the Young Sheldon series finale episode set to air on May 16 on CBS.
