Rep. Adam Schiff was an answer on Wednesday’s episode of “Jeopardy!” and none of the contestants knew his name.
“One-fifty-third of California’s House delegation is this Intelligence Committee chairman,” host Alex Trebek said, while the big screen displayed a picture of Schiff, a California Democrat, under the category “U.S. Representatives.”
After time expired without any of the three contestants on stage buzzing in, Trebek was forced to explain, “His name is Adam Schiff.”
The moment went viral on social media, with many users mocking Schiff.

Some commenters deemed the clip especially humiliating for Schiff given that “Jeopardy!” is taped in the state he represents. In fact, the long-running game show is based not just in Schiff’s 28th congressional district, but in his home town of Burbank.
Others, including “Fox & Friends” cohost Steve Doocy, suggested Schiff’s relative obscurity shows few Americans are paying attention to the impeachment process he is leading.

Schiff helmed the months-long impeachment investigation in the House, and on Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat named him a lead impeachment manager in the Senate trial expect to start Thursday.
