Alyssa Scott Dotes On Daughter’s Resemblance To Late Son Zen: ‘Litte Sis’

Alyssa Scott is honoring her late son Zen’s memory, most heartwarmingly, through her newborn daughter Halo Marie Cannon.

As you may know, Scott and entertainer Nick Cannon sadly lost baby Zen five months after his birth in 2021, while they were blessed with little Halo on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

Despite the loss, the excited mother ensures to remember her baby boy whenever she can, and she did so recently, fawning over her baby girl’s resemblance to the late Zen.

Alyssa Scott Says Newborn Halo Is ‘Definitely Zen’s Little Sis’

The social media influencer could not help but flaunt her cute baby on the gram in a series of posts, showing just how much she looked like her late older brother. In one Instagram Story collage, she showed Halo looking up at the camera with glee while she held onto her mama’s thumb in two snaps.

The tot was dressed in a cream blouse with pastel green shorts, matching her headband and the blanket she lay upon.  Memorializing her deceased son, Scott captioned the post, “Hi sweet girl,” adding, “Definitely Zen’s little sis.”

A second update featuring the mother and daughter duo was footage of the model carrying the infant and moving gently with her while standing under a white grate, close to greeneries. Scott was dressed in a long, body-hugging long-sleeved white dress with her blonde curls piled atop her head, while little Halo was wrapped in a white sheet.

The pair could also be seen in another video, wearing the same outfits, but with Scott sitting on some steps, cuddling her daughter on her lap. She smiled down at the youngster with so much love while she guarded her head as she lay on her lap. Several palm trees swayed in the background, with a few purple flowers close to Scott.

As seen in the post, the mama was filled with joy and did not hesitate to let fans know by captioning the clip with, “Happy mama – happy halo.”

Although Halo is a godsend to the “Masked Singer” star and his baby mama, their only son who passed away at such a young age from brain cancer, will always remain a part of their lives. Scott, who recently felt sentimental, bared her thoughts to her Instagram fans about creating space for her daughter by clearing out Zen’s things.

As The Blast reported, she posted a picture of the boy’s dresser alongside a heart-wrenching message. The dresser had several gold artistic designs on a white backdrop with Zen’s clothes neatly arranged on top, close to a white lamp. In the caption, Scott partly penned:

“Well, today is the day I had to pack up Zen’s dresser. Thinking I was going to have a boy brought me some comfort because I didn’t think I would have to face this part.”

Even so, she knew everything would be okay after acknowledging that it was time to “make room for Halo.” At the end of her touching message, she declared, “Girls rock blue too! So this is what stays [white heart emoji].”

An ensuing post showed Scott paying homage to her son with an adorable photo and a note in which she stated that all his outfits held a memory and confessed how much she missed him.

Scott And Cannon Honor Son On ‘Painful’ One-Year Death Anniversary

Scott’s tribute came on the heels of her baby daddy, Nick, marking baby Zen’s death anniversary using a series of black and white pictures alongside a tear-jerking message.

As reported, the music star admitted that while he was physically recovering from the loss, he was “mentally and spiritually” broken. At the time of the post, he was recovering from a condition, but he was not at rest even though he knew how much he needed to relax.

Nick could not believe a year had passed since his baby boy departed this earth, leading him to call the anniversary a painful one. He also added that losing a child was the “heaviest, most dark and depressive experience” but still wished Zen had felt more love while he was still alive.

Taking the advice of his spiritual advisor, the TV personality remained steadfast as he went through a situation that would make him stronger and trust in the “peace that surpasses all.”
