Amanda Bynes was placed on a psychiatric hold when she called 911 after finding herself walking around the streets naked.
An eyewitness told TMZ the former “Amanda Show” star flagged down a car early Sunday without any clothes on her person and told the driver she was coming down from a psychiatric episode.
Bynes, 36, was taken to a nearby police station where a mental health expert determined she needed to be placed on a 5150 hold and remains in a facility’s care.
Typically, 5150 hold lasts 72 hours but can be extended based on a patient’s need.
Bynes’ attorney didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment, but her ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, tells Page Six exclusively that she has been “off her meds.”

Bynes herself spoke out on March 7 thanking fans for their “love and support” in a brief Instagram video recorded in anticipation of her hearing that ultimately decided she no longer “needed” the legal setup.
Bynes’ parents, Rick and Lynn Bynes, supported her push for freedom. Lynn served as Amanda’s conservator, while Rick was considered an interested party in the case.

However, she and Michael ended their engagement in July 2022, just months after she publicly accused him of watching “mom-and-son porn” and using crack cocaine.
She later clarified that she caught him watching “MILF” porn instead of “mom-and-son” but insisted he relapsed in his drug use despite his revealing a clean test.
She and her fiancé, Paul Michael, had broken up last year but the pair remain friends.TheImageDirect.com Despite the breakup, Bynes appeared to be doing well as she decided to enroll in cosmetology school to become a manicurist.
She’s since shared various snaps of her in-progress nails as well as photos of her classroom, which resembled a nail salon.
Bynes also graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in LA in June 2019 and also expressed an interest in developing fragrances.
