Ryan Seacrest Reveals He Wanted ‘Rob & Chyna’ To Have Continued

Ryan Seacrest, a former executive producer on “Rob & Chyna” and “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” is among those summoned to testify in the ongoing court battle between Blac Chyna and The Kardashian/Jenner family.

In the most recent appearance in court, Chyna’s lawyer Lynne Ciani stated that her client missed out on the chance to make millions of dollars through connected appearances and social media posts after “Rob & Chyna” was not extended for a second season. The legal luminary further claimed that the Kardashian family, which includes Rob, masterminded the axing of the reality series to spite Chyna, who had fallen out with Rob and the family.

‘I Would Want It To Go Forward’

Chyna’s $300 million legal battle with her ex, Rob, and his family has been blazing in a Los Angeles courtroom for days. Now, Seacrest is the latest celebrity to be asked to comment on several elements of the lawsuit.

According to RadarOnline, Seacrest addressed questions from both clients’ lawyers in a recent deposition. He also delivered a major bombshell by saying that he wanted “Rob & Chyna” to carry on regardless of the former couple’s problems.

“Did you have any opinion, one way or another, whether Season 2 of Rob & Chyna should go forward?” Chyna’s lawyer asked Seacrest during the deposition.

He replied: “Knowing — I’m sure I would want it to go forward. I think, you know, I would wish success for everybody, but I can’t remember exactly what my opinion was back then… my opinion would be they should always go forward. You know I would always want the show to be successful, to have another episode or another season.”

Kardashian/Jenner Family Allegedly Made Moves To Take Out Ryan Seacrest’s Testimony

The transcript of Seacrest’s testimony has been reported to be a loose link in the Kardashian/Jenner family’s efforts to dismiss Chyna’s case against them. They had previously requested a judge’s caveat to prevent the jury from hearing specific aspects of Ryan Seacrest’s evidence, claiming it was unrelated to the subject at hand.

To back up her allegations, Chyna had claimed that she had received an upfront payment of $1 million and an assurance that “Rob & Chyna” would be renewed for a second season, adding that the Kardashian/Jenner family circulated misinformation to E! officials that led to their canceling her show.

Because Seacrest was an executive producer on the show who worked keenly with the showrunners at E!, his transcript might imply that the family of reality stars might have swayed the execs to discontinue the show, given that his point of view aligned with a renewal.

Kris Jenner Denied Blac Chyna’s Claim While Testifying In Court

Before the buzz around Seacrest’s testimony started to raise some dust, Kris Jenner, mother of Rob, had earlier taken to the stand to deny Chyna’s claim that she had already received the sequel offer from E! at any time.

“They had an option that they didn’t exercise,” Kris said, as per Variety, referencing the contract that Chyna and Rob got at the start of their now axed show. “He never got a letter, there was nothing to cancel.”

Kris, who is also her son’s manager, stated that she would have been aware of any notification from the network alerting Rob that the series had gotten renewed for a second season. She went on to say that a major fight between the ex-couple on their show was the catalyst that basically killed the show’s prospects of earning a second season rather than what Chyna had filed in her lawsuit.

Rob Recently Dropped His Lawsuit Against Black Chyna

While Chyna seems to be hell-bent on pushing forward with her lawsuit, Rob appears to be uninterested in making any more legal moves against his former partner. The tv-personality recently dropped his assault case against Chyna in February, admitting that he chose to do so for their daughter, Dream, who turns six later this year.

“My love for Dream far outweighs my desire to proceed with my claims against her mother in a public trial,” Rob said, according to reports from The U.S Sun.

“Now that the court has ruled that there is sufficient evidence to warrant a jury trial on my claim for assault, for our daughter’s sake, I am dismissing the action and focusing on my co-parenting relationship with Chyna.”

The ex-lovers gave birth to Dream in November 2016; however, the pair parted before the year ran out, as the model was soon pictured being out and about without her engagement ring.
