Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes Reportedly Unfazed By Unemployed Status Following ABC News Exit

Former ABC News and “GMA3” co-anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are unfazed about their unemployed status after their exit from the network.

Following revelations that Robach and Holmes were having a workplace affair, viewers erupted in outrage, and ABC subsequently suspended the two from their on-air duties while conducting an investigation.

The pair were ultimately ousted from the network upon the conclusion of the investigation. The lovebirds seem to be unperturbed by the attention surrounding their relationship and their “out of work” status as they were recently spotted walking hand-in-hand in Los Angeles, even going on to straddle each other in public.

Following their exit from ABC, sources have it that Robach, 49, and Holmes, 45, are not bothered by the situation surrounding their work and are very much okay since it all happened. A source told People magazine, “they’re actually in love and still in touch with people who work on the show.”

The source went on to point out that the pair are not worried about being out of work, but they realize things have to settle down before they go in search of another job.

According to the source, Robach and Holmes’ ex-colleagues are not happy about how ABC handled the whole situation surrounding their romance, claiming that “a lot of staffers are disappointed.”

“It seems like half are supportive of how the network navigated the situation because they didn’t like the attention, but half feel like their termination was wrong,” the source said. “Amy and TJ were liked by mostly everyone. It’s a dicey situation,” they added.

After reports came out last November that the “GMA3: What You Need To Know” co-hosts were in a romantic relationship, ABC News took the pair off-air while they coordinated an investigation into their relationship. Following their lengthy investigation into the duo, they were eventually kicked out of the network, permanently.

A spokesperson for ABC said via People, “After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”

The search for their successor is expected to start soon according to People. Demarco Morgan is reportedly lined up to replace Holmes as sources claim that ABC “loves the job Morgan is doing” and everyone “thinks he’s been really great.”

Early last January, it was reported that Demarco Morgan was in line to replace Holmes on a permanent basis at the news network.

Morgan, alongside Rhiannon Ally, filled in for Robach and Holmes on the primetime program as ABC continued its investigation into their relationship.

Morgan, “GMA3” executive producer Cat McKenzie, and a few coworkers, including Sade Baderinwa and Kemberly Richardson, were reportedly seen together at an event held at Plug Uglies, an Irish bar in New York City’s Gramercy Park neighborhood, according to Page Six.

At the time, a source claimed that his coworkers thought he was doing a great job and that ABC “loves the job Morgan is doing.”

Another source told Page Six that Morgan appeared to be very happy and had received many compliments on what a good job he was doing, noting that “he was the first to arrive and one of the last to leave.”

The couple appears to be enjoying their relationship despite the circumstances, as they were spotted packing on extreme PDA shortly after leaving ABC News.

According to People, Robach and Holmes were seen walking in Los Angeles hand in hand, smiling, and hugging.

Holmes wore blue denim jeans, a black hoodie, black shoes, and a dark shade to complete the casual ensemble. Robach, on the other hand, wore light-colored pants, a silver jacket, and brown heels.

In one of the photos, the duo was seen walking side by side and holding each other’s hand, while in another, Robach wrapped her legs tightly around his waist as she straddled him in public.
