American actress Anne Heche was involved in a car crash not long ago, and more details about the incident have surfaced.
A new video TMZ obtained and reported showed the movie star “driving like a maniac” down a residential street before crashing into a home in L.A, triggering an engulfing fire that caused burns on her.
Anne Heche Crashes Into Apartment Garage Before Causing Home Fire
MEGABased on the newly acquired footage, the “Another World” star could be seen speeding in her blue Mini Cooper while the vehicle could also be heard dashing through the street, leading to an audible car crash.
The accident reportedly comes shortly after her initial crash into a garage at an apartment complex where she sped off. However, her eventual collision was with a close home, causing a fire.
The news outlet further noted that the crashes happened a bit after noon in the Mar Vista region of L.A., where witnesses were able to narrate what actually occurred.
The said witnesses mentioned the car she was driving and her collision with the apartment complex’s garage. They also tried to get her out of the vehicle, but she reversed the car and sped off.
Not long after the incident, she smashed into the mentioned nearby home, igniting a blaze that was significant and consumed the building. Her car was also completely wrecked by the inferno.
The “Donnie Brasco” actress seemed to have suffered extreme burns in the flame as her clothes looked charred in the video while she was whisked away on a stretcher.
She was also covered in a white cloth and could be seen suddenly sitting up and thrashing wildly as they placed her in the ambulance.
Not much was sure about the extent of her wounds or burns; however, she was expected to live while recovering in the hospital “intubated.”
It was also reported that her condition prevented doctors from carrying out any tests to determine if she was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Speaking of alcohol, a red-capped bottle was seen in the cupholder next to the gearshift of Heche’s car while she was at full speed. It appeared to be a bottle of alcohol.
Around the same time TMZ reported the 53-year-old’s car crash, the Los Angeles Fire Department later made another report of the same incident showing how extensive the fire was in the home. The report read:
“Solo passenger vehicle struck and came to rest well within a 738 square foot two-story home (built 1952), causing structural compromise and erupting in heavy fire prior to LAFD arrival.”
It added that 59 firefighters took 65 minutes to “access, confine, and fully extinguish” the flames within the severely damaged building and rescue a female adult, presumably Heche, found in the vehicle.
The statement further noted that the actress had been taken to a neighboring hospital by LAFD Paramedics in critical condition, but fortunately, no other injuries were reported.

While the Tony Awards nominee’s romance with DeGeneres may be in the past, her detached relationship with her mother was brought to light which she has always been open about.
In 2011, she maintained that she would never want to reconcile with her mom, and till 2020, she did not speak to either her mother or her sister.
Heche and her mother’s bad blood stemmed from the older female’s dismissal of her daughter’s claims about her biological father having sexual relations with her when she was a baby.
The brilliant screenwriter’s mother refuted the allegations with the belief that her daughter had always doubted herself in the past and had a dim memory of what happened to her as an infant.
