Ashton Kutcher is finally opening up on how he felt about his ex-wife Demi Moore, giving an account of their controversial marriage in her eye-opening memoir.

The pair were formerly married from 2005 to 2013. And during their relationship, Kutcher played the role of a step-dad to Moore’s three daughters, Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout, whom Moore shares with legendary actor Bruce Willis

The “Just Married” star is now speaking up about his uneventful past that he’s bottled up for years.

The dad of two, for the first time, is speaking candidly about how his perfect new family with Mila Kunis got affected by the impact of the actress’s memoir, which was released in 2019. During an interview with ESQUIRE, Kutcher revealed his life and that of his wife, including their children, got disrupted following the release of Moore’s memoir.

The “Ranch” actor and Kunis are known for keeping a low profile, especially with their marriage and family life. The power couple barely walk a red carpet, only doing so for the first time in 2017, two years after they got married. They also never post their kids on social media or give details about them.

Kutcher had no doubt worked hard to create privacy around his family life. However, all of that changed when the “Charlie’s Angels” actress released her “Inside Out” memoir that detailed the former couple’s turbulent marriage and other disturbing facts that were unknown to the public.

Expressing his displeasure about the book and the effect it had on his family, he said, “I was fucking pissed. I’d finally gotten to a place where the press had really laid off me and Mila, and my life and my family. And then the next day, [the paparazzi] are at my kids’ school.”

Although he noted that he “didn’t want to open anything up in that realm” [referring to the memoir], the “Jobs” actor spoke briefly about his troublesome marriage to his ex-wife, Moore.

Addressing his role as a stepfather to Moore’s three daughters, he said, “I was twenty-six, bearing the responsibility of an eight-year-old, a ten-year-old, and a twelve-year-old.” He, however, maintained that he’s still in contact with the girls, who are now women.

In his words, “They were awesome then and they’re awesome now. But everything together was definitely a lot.” Broaching the subject about the miscarriage he and Moore suffered while they were married, he said, “Losing a kid that you think you’re going to have, and that close to thinking you’re going to have a kid, is really, really, really, painful.”

The 44-year-old noted, “I love kids. I wouldn’t have gotten married to a woman that had three kids if I didn’t love kids. The idea of having another kid would have been incredible.” Accepting his fate, he said, “For whatever reason, I had to have that experience.”

Kutcher also described how he felt after he and the “Striptease” actress separated, he said, “Nothing makes you feel like a failure like divorce. Divorce feels like a wholesale fucking failure. You failed at marriage.”

What Moore’s ‘Inside Out’ Memoir Said Of Their Marriage

The New Mexico native had the press and social media in a frenzy following the release of her bombshell memoir. Per The Blast, the mom of three set the internet on fire after going into extreme details about her relationship with Kutcher.

The “Ghost” actress explained in her book that her marriage to the former model was rough, to say the least. She revealed that she consented to Kutcher’s ideas and what he thought a model wife should act like.

Exposing more shocking details, she disclosed that their marriage consisted of having threesomes with other women, which in her words, she resentfully agreed to. The “G.I. Jane” actress noted that their wild sexual escapades might have been what caused the rift between her and her ex-husband, Kutcher. In her words, “Because we had brought a third party into our relationship, Ashton said that blurred the lines and, to some extent, justified what he’d done.”

At the time of the release, Kutcher gave a cryptic comment on the shocking revelations made via Twitter. He wrote, “I was about to push the button on a really snarky tweet. Then I saw my son, daughter, and wife and I deleted it. ❤️.”

Kutcher and Moore once had a fiery passion for each other before their relationship eventually went south. The pair met in 2003 at a casual dinner with friends and became romantically involved shortly afterward.

In May of that same year, the pair were seen on a double date with Sean “P.Diddy” Combs and the late Kim Porter in Miami. It was reported that the former sweethearts shared a “very romantic” kiss as they left the restaurant.

In March of 2005, the pair joked about their 15-year age difference during a Saturday Night Live show where Kutcher acted as the host while Moore made a cameo appearance.

The lovestruck couple proceeded to get married on September 24, 2005, and unfortunately experienced a late-term pregnancy loss in 2006. The stars, however, pushed through with their relationship before finally ending things in 2011.
