‘Bachelorette’ creator and host slam Kelly Ripa for calling show ‘gross’
Bachelor Nation doesn’t take criticism lying down.
“The Bachelorette” creator Mike Fleiss and longtime host Chris Harrison both took to Twitter to defend their show after Kelly Ripa called the show “gross” on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” on Tuesday.
“You guys know how I feel about the show … it disgusts me,” Ripa, 48, said after learning that current “Bachelorette” Hannah Brown would be appearing on “Live” later this week.
Harrison was quick to sic fans on the former soap opera queen.
“Look out #BachelorNation Kelly Ripa is coming after you and your ‘disgusting’ Monday night habit,” he tweeted Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Fleiss also took to social media to put Ripa in her place for criticizing ABC’s long-running reality series.
“Easy, Kelly Ripa,” he wrote, tagging the morning mainstay, whose show shares a network, ABC, with Fleiss’s. “The Bachelor franchise pays your salary.”
