Shamed celebrity pastor Carl Lentz is in “intense” therapy with his wife and would “never leave her” despite his admitted affair, Page Six is told.
His alleged lover, designer Ranin Karim, told The Post that they were “like a drug” to each other after first meeting in Williamsburg’s Domino Park in May.
“Carl’s taking time to work on his marriage, go through intense counseling with his wife, and spend time with his kids. He is committed to rebuilding trust and fixing his marriage,” a friend told us, adding, “Carl never had any plans to leave his marriage.”
Page Six previously reported that Lentz — who has three children with Laura — was also spotted flirting with women at a Super Bowl party for Jennifer Lopez on board a yacht last February in Miami, despite his wife being in attendance.
He has sold his home in Montclair, New Jersey, and we’re told he’s not currently working and plans to take time away from the church to work on his marriage.
“He’s got no plans to open his own church,” the friend said. “Carl knows he put Hillsong in a bad spot, but he’s appreciative of all they did for him. He’s reaffirming his relationship with God.”
Lentz was not immediately reachable for comment.
