Christian Siriano admits he gets stressed out designing collections for Fashion Week but tries very hard not to blubber in front of his staff.
“I don’t cry a lot,” the designer recently told Page Six at the Broadway premiere of “My Name is Lucy Barton.” “I get upset but I really try to work through it. I really do.” Although he did confess that “working through” it often involves a quavering voice.
Siriano, 34, is busy preparing for a show next month in New York and says this period is particularly stressful because Fashion Week collides with awards season, but that doesn’t mean he’s eating his feelings.
“We’re so good,” he said proudly. “I get Sweetgreen every day for lunch, we’re trying to be good. It’s hard. I want Chinese food, trust me!”
Besides dressing celebs like Whoopi Goldberg, Janelle Monae, Busy Philipps, and Amy Adams, Siriano is also a co-host on “Project Runway.”
