Courteney Cox is willing to fight for her ‘Friends’ apartment

It seems Courteney Cox is quite protective of the iconic New York apartment that once played home to her “Friends” character, Monica Geller.

In a video, the actress, 57, is seen scolding her “Scream 5” co-star Melissa Barrera, 31, who tries to enter the Greenwich Village property — but don’t worry: it’s just a skit designed to promote the pair’s upcoming horror movie.

Cox took to Instagram to share a humorous video that showed Barrera strolling toward the famous apartment facade, located at 90 Bedford St.

“Melissa! How are you? Where are you going?” Cox quizzes as she approaches Barrera on the sidewalk.

“I’m just going home,” Barrera replies, gesturing up to the apartment that the fictional Monica lived in with Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston).

“That’s weird … I don’t think that’s your home,” Cox tells Barrera in an irritated manner. “I’m happy you joined the ‘Scream’ cast, but this is not OK. This is off-limits.”

Cox continues to berate Barrera, stating, “Go back to the Heights” — a reference to Barrera’s recent role in the Lin-Manuel Miranda film “In the Heights.”

The younger actress hits back, uttering a catchphrase Cox’s character frequently used on “Friends.”

“I KNOW!” Barrera screams, before walking off down the street.

“Friends” fans were overjoyed by the hilarious clip and the fact that Cox had returned to her character’s apartment block — although interior scenes for the show were actually shot on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles.

“For someone who loves binge-watching ‘Friends’ every night, I love content like this!” one follower remarked.

“THE BEST CONTENT!” another exclaimed.

The short clip was watched a whopping 1.5 million times within two hours of its upload.

While Cox is most famous for “Friends,” she is also beloved for playing weatherwoman Gale Weathers in the “Scream” movies.

Cox is reprising her role in the fifth installment of the franchise, to be released early next year. Barrera joins the cast as character Sam Carpenter.

The first full trailer for the horror film dropped last week, sending fans into a frenzy.
