Demi Lovato takes break from social media, teases new music

Demi Lovato is going dark on social media for the time being.

The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer posted on Wednesday a photo of an all-black image captioned, “The next time you hear from me, I’ll be singing….”

Lovato, 27, did not reveal when she plans to return or when her new music will be released.

She also shared a mysterious post on her Instagram Stories that said, “Don’t believe the rumors,” with an upside-down smiley face.

It is unclear whether she was referencing her announcement about new music.

The pop star has not dropped a new single since “Sober” in June 2018.

Shortly after, Lovato overdosed and announced in August of that year that she was taking some time for herself to “heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery.”

In May, Lovato shared that she signed with talent manager Scooter Braun, who also represents Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

“Couldn’t be happier, inspired and excited to begin this next chapter,” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for believing in me and for being a part of this new journey.”

Lovato’s new album will be her first music under Braun’s mentorship. She has released six studio albums under her previous management.
