Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Elon Musk were in front row during Dave Chappelle attack

Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Elon Musk were just yards away from the stage at Dave Chappelle’s show as the violent attack took place.

A source at Chappelle’s Netflix Is a Joke show on Tuesday said while Bey and Jay spent time backstage at the Hollywood Bowl during the event, they had joined the audience for the comic’s set.

The source said, “They were seated in a front row along with Elon Musk when Chappelle was attacked at his show.

“There was no security near them at the time. That crazy guy could have easily turned around and decided to attack Beyoncé instead.”

The witness added that while “everyone freaked out that a man rushed the stage with what looked like a gun,” the famous couple seemed, “more concerned about Dave. Beyoncé gasped in horror, then their security came racing over to usher them to a safe backstage area which was immediately locked down.”

Also seen backstage was a very heavily pregnant Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Busta Rhymes and Madonna who were not caught up in the incident.

The 23-year-old suspect Isaiah Lee jumped onstage, attacked Chappelle, 48, and allegedly pointed a replica gun with a knife blade at the famous comic.

Security immediately descended on the suspect, who was later taken to the hospital with “superficial injuries”. Chappelle was not injured in the altercation.

The LAPD confirmed to Page Six early Wednesday that Lee was booked and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon.

“The performances by Chappelle at the Hollywood Bowl were epic and record-breaking and he refuses to allow last night’s incident to overshadow the magic of this historic moment,” his rep said in a statement earlier this week.

Reps for Beyonce, Jay-Z and Musk didn’t immediately get back to us.
