Dunnes Stores has issued an urgent recall of a batch of salmon over a labelling error.
The retailer has issued the notice in relation to its own brand Poached Side of Salmon because two different ‘use-by’ dates are written on the labels.
Customers have been asked not to eat these packets of salmon.

According to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland , the recall applied to poached salmon with the ‘use by’ date of 19/02/19 on the front of the packet.
A note on its website reads:
“ Dunnes Stores is recalling a batch of Poached Side of Salmon that has been incorrectly labelled with two different 'use-by' dates.
“The implicated batch has the incorrect 'use-by' date of 19/02/19 on the front of packs and the correct 'use-by' date of 19/01/2019 on the back of the packs.
“This batch should not be consumed after 19/01/19 and can be returned to Dunnes Stores.”
Customers can bring affected packs of salmon to their nearest Dunnes Stores for a replacement.
Meanwhile, an urgent recall has also been issued for a popular children's toy sold at Tesco stores over choking fears.
Vivid Imaginations Ltd has issued a voluntary recall on the Animagic - My First Puppy soft toy, after it was revealed that it did not meet the required standards.
The toy may pose a safety fear after it was discovered that small parts could become detached from the toy - could be a choking risk for small children.
According to the Consumer and Competition Protection Commission, the recall affects products with the following codes: Item code: 31339.4300, barcode: 5025123313399, and batch codes: 181008P3, 181102P3, 181116P3.
