Billboard Music Award winner Travis Scott is making a comeback to the stage with another significant performance at the 2022 Billboard Awards.
His return to public performances comes after gaining notoriety for the unfortunate incident at the Astroworld Festival, where ten people died.
Scott has performed at several shows following the saddening disaster; however, his performance at the Billboard Awards will mark a significant turnaround in his career.
Travis Scott Will Make His First Televised Performance Since Astroworld Catastrophe

According to TMZ, Scott’s performance at the imminent show will be his first aired presentation in six months and viewed by numerous people worldwide.
Speaking of his shows in the recent past, he took the stage in Miami during the Miami Grand Prix weekend, where he gave his best, and the crowd was utterly taken with the show.
He also performed at several private parties in the last few months, including the Pre-Oscars event and a Coachella afterparty.
Given these previous occasions, we can expect the rapper to perform outstandingly well at the BBMA.
The Billboard Music Awards will not be the only event Scott will be preparing for, as the outlet noted that he is also getting ready to headline his first music festival since Astroworld.
He is expected to perform with several other music artists at the upcoming Primavera Sound festival in front of over 100,000 people.
As for his past with the Astroworld tragedy, he and a few others, including the festival’s promoter, Live Nation, were slammed with lawsuits following the heartbreaking deaths at the event last November.
Scott claimed he was unaware of how severe the situation was at the time; regardless, investigations are still ongoing regarding those responsible for the deaths.
Speaking of his ensuing performance in Miami at mega-club E11even’s Grand Prix party on May 7, The Blast named it his first major performance since the Astroworld catastrophe.
The outlet detailed the event where he threw some cash into the crowd and called a couple of strippers on stage to spice up the event.
In the trap star’s words, “We need every stripper to report to the f**king stage right now. We need every bottle reported to this motherf**kin floor.”
The crowd seemed thrilled at the show as they enthusiastically sang along to his songs, including “Antidote,” Sicko Mode,” “Goosebumps,” “Highest in the Room,” and “Pick Up The Phone.”
Scott performed for about 45 minutes since he took over the stage around 3:30 AM EST. Every second counted to him as he ensured his fans enjoyed all parts of his performance.
Before the Miami event, the outlet reported the concert preparations, noting that hotel rooms at the venue ran up to $120,000 per night while tables at E11even ranged from $5,000 to $100,000.
The first-rated club also had a poster of Scott featuring the ticket policy on their website. Female attendees’ tier 3 entry fee was $150, while that of males was $250.
Even with his major return, fans may find it hard to forget the Astroworld incident where several died of “compression asphyxia,” and hundreds were injured.
The “Astroworld” Creator Creates New Solution-Oriented Project Following Astroworld Tragedy
Following the unfortunate Astroworld occurrence, Scott took it upon himself to create a new initiative and ensure the disaster would not repeat itself.
The Blast reported that he launched the ‘Project HEAL’ in partnership with Cactus Jack Foundation to focus on social issues.
Such concerns included “academic scholarships, free mental health resources, a creative design center, and a first-ever, tech-driven solution for event safety.”
It should be noted that the scheme is “a multi-tier initiative dedicated to addressing challenges facing today’s youth, especially those from marginalized, at-risk communities.”
The 31-year-old further detailed the four crucial pillars of the project, including the Waymon Webster HBCU Fund, Expansion of CACT.US Youth Design Center, Mental health Resources, and the US Conference of Mayors and Tech-Driven Solutions for Event Safety.
In addition to the heartfelt initiative, Scott shared a message to his fans that began, “Over the past few months, I’ve been taking the time and space to grieve, reflect and do my part to heal my community.”
He continued, “Most importantly, I want to use my resources and platform moving forward towards actionable change.”
The talented songwriter further revealed his plans regarding Project HEAL and promised to honor the victims of the Astroworld tragedy forever.
