Emily Ratajkowski Dubbed A Thief In String Bikini In The Street

Emily Ratajkowski is facing serious allegations as a swimwear brand deems her Inamorata designs a direct swipe of their own. Earlier this summer, the 33-year-old supermodel posed for street shots in NYC, showing off her killer body in a tiny string bikini while promoting her 2017-founded brand. While the "City Kini" shoot made headlines for seeing EmRata strip down to another eye-popping swimsuit, talk in the comments turned ugly as Kavala Collective accused Emily of stealing its motifs.

Adding pop from her two-piece's red, white, and orange prints, Emily highlighted a golden tan, but talk in the comments wasn't about her figure. "CITI KINI! Shop now," a caption read.

Quickly gaining likes was a reply from Kalava Collective. "Looking a bit too similar for our liking to our Las Palmas range that we dropped June 2023… almost an exact replica. We’re a small woman-owned business & people are noticing… with more resources than most brands, it would be best to create your own unique designs rather than make a very close copy of another brand!" the comment began.

Told She Copied The Design

The brand added:

"We’re all women-owned brands here.. let’s support each other rather than tear each other down / rip off each other's hard work x."

Fans seemed to agree, echoing the thought in separate comments. "This looks very similar to the @kavalacollective one made a while ago!" one user wrote. "I own this bikini, but mine's from @kavalacollective … maybe your designers should try harder," another said. Interestingly, users actually sided with Emily Ratajkowski on the Kavala Instagram, where a post comparing the two attempted to further highlight the issue. Here, fans said that the designs didn't look alike, with one fan saying:

"If you are a “little brand”, do think her designers actually saw your bathing suit? I’m just genuinely curious. I personally don’t think it looks close enough to say her brand copied it."
