Sutton Stracke claims she was trying to be a good friend when she offered to loan her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-star Erika Jayne money amid the latter’s divorce from Tom Girardi.
“That was friend-to-friend, going through a divorce, and it’s a cushion,” Stracke told Andy Cohen during her recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.” “Any divorced woman, you’re going through a divorce, you need to have someone who, if you’re going through a bad time, can help you out.”
A deleted scene from this season of “RHOBH” shows Stracke, 50, telling her cast members that she had offered Jayne a chunk of change as a loan during her divorce filing.
“I offered Erika a loan while going through the divorce. Like, if you need anything financially, I’ve got your back, and if you fall, you’ve got a mattress to land on,” Stracke said (Via @queensofbravo).
While the 50-year-old “Pretty Mess” author seemingly appreciated Stracke’s offer, she did not accept it.
“I think she said, ‘Thank you,’ and that was it,” Stracke added.
Girardi’s former law firm, Girardi Keese, owes over $101 million in debt, while Jayne is being sued for $25 million by the trustee handling the Girardi Keese bankruptcy case. She has also been accused of spending the millions on her American Express bill, assistants and a glam squad, among other expenses.

Jayne, however, denied rumors that her breakup was a way of concealing their money in a recent “RHOBH” episode.
Jayne — who filed for divorce from Girardi, 82, in November 2020 — has repeatedly denied participating in her estranged husband’s alleged financial scheme, although Girardi seemingly implicated his estranged wife in his legal struggles during a recent outing.
“Did Erika know anything?” a photog questioned the disbarred lawyer, to which he quietly replied, “I think she does.”
Stracke shared a similar thought on a recent “RHOBH” episode, telling co-stars Kyle Richards, Garcelle Beauvais, Dorit Kemsley, Kathy Hilton and Crystal Kung Minkoff that Jayne’s supposed “ignorance” to Girardi’s misdoings is not “an excuse.”
