Five jurors were picked Thursday for Harvey Weinstein’s sex assault trial.
Three men and two women were selected from a pool of approximately 140 pre-screened jurors on the eighth day of jury selection. Seven more jurors and six alternates are still needed to complete the panel, and the process will continue this afternoon in Manhattan Supreme Court.
Weinstein, 67, is charged with two counts of predatory sexual assault, two count of rape and one count of criminal sex act stemming from the allegations of three women.
Opening statements are slated for Jan. 22.
