The Foo Fighters are bringing the nightmare before Christmas!
On Friday, November 3, the band released the teaser for their 2022 horror-comedy venture, “Studio 666” ahead of their tenth studio album, “Medicine to Midnight.”
The trailer features lead singer Dave Grohl and the rest of the band fighting monsters, ghosts, and demons in a makeshift recording studio set up in a haunted house.
In one part of the video, Grohl’s eyes turn completely black as he seems to be overtaken by a demon like something out of CW’s “Supernatural.”
The trailer also features shots of guitarist Pat Smear, keyboardist Rami Jaffee, guitarist Chris Shiflett, and bassist Nate Mendel floating through the air, being chased by goblins, and blowing things up with lightning.
Although the band has never been victims of demonic possession shown in the trailer (at least, that we know of), the Foo Fighters really did record their recent album at a haunted mansion in the Los Angeles area.
The screenplay was written by Jeff Buhler and Rebecca Hughes and was directed by BJ McDonnell.
Along with the band, the film also stars Jeff Garlin, Will Forte, and Whitney Cummings.
“Studio 666” is scheduled to debut on February 25, 2022.

The official sneak peek of the teaser gained over 100,000 views since its release and fans couldn’t help but share their enthusiasm in the comments.
“Man, Dave and the boys are the hardest working band in the world,” one fan wrote. “This looks so fun.”
“YES!!!” another commented. “I don’t think many of us could/would have made it through the last 2 years of Covid, quarantine, and isolation without you guys. And, it just keeps getting better.”

Dave Grohl’s Hanukkah Sessions Returns For A Second Season
Dave Grohl has teamed up with Greg Kurstin to release another series in “The Hanukkah Sessions.”
Basically, the pair records eight cover songs by Jewish artists and then releases a new single on each day of Hanukkah.
In an interview with NPR, Grohl and Kurstin talked about where the idea came from.
“During Hanukkah, a lot of families will do that,” Kurstin explained. “They’ll, you know, give a present every night. And so you know – and the kids get very excited about that. And that was the spirit of where this came out of.”
He added that one particular song they are pleased with is “Copacabana” by the legendary Barry Manilow.
“That was, like, a surprising one for me because that’s – Barry Manilow’s arrangement of that song, just as a music geek, I really love it,” he said.
He also teased the possibility of a season three.
“It’s just fun,” Kurstin concluded. “I think we’re going to have to continue doing this every year. I don’t know how we’re going to stop now – unless we run out of ideas.”
