Former mayor Michael Bloomberg busts a move at Central Park gala

Does he actually have “moves like Bloomberg” after all?

Former mayor Michael Bloomberg was spotted on Wednesday at the Central Park Conservancy’s 40th Anniversary Gala tearing up the dance floor.

Bloomie was twirling longtime partner Diana Taylor and the couple, who have been together for 20 years, cut a rug to the Marcus Reid Band’s rendition of Black Eyes Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” — with Taylor pumping her fist in the air as the billionaire spun her around.

During Bloomberg’s 2019 run for president, a video went viral showing supposed campaign supporters dancing to Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger” with the word “Jagger,” dubbed with a robot voice saying “Bloomberg.”

While the clip was a hit, Bloomberg’s team tweeted that the maker was not officially part of his campaign, and did “not have moves like Bloomberg” — though they did ask the creator to apply for a job.

Spies at the park shindig said Bloomberg’s moves are “better than those in the video.”

Also spotted at the fête: Martha Stewart, Wilbur and Hilary Geary Ross, Christine and Steve Schwarzman, Gillian and Sylvester Miniter, Fe Fendi, and Elyse Newhouse.

Bloomberg has been a longtime supporter of the park, attending several of the conservancy’s Women’s Committee “Hat Lunch” events, even donning a creative topper himself. In 2019, he wore a fedora with an orange tag to commemorate Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s art project “The Gates,” which was displayed in the park in 2005.

Wednesday’s gala raised $2.8 million. Funds will go towards maintaining the park, as well as new projects such as replacing the Lasker Rink and pool with a new facility called the Harlem Meer Center.
