The pair shared the same pandemic pod in 2020. At the time, Kravitz was filming alongside Robert Pattinson as the titular Batman/Bruce Wayne. Back then, Swift assisted Kravitz with a virtual photoshoot for the New York Times’ “Great Performers” December issue. Given COVID-19 protocols at the time, the magazine opted to photograph Kravitz remotely, as per NYT editor-in-chief Jake Silverstein.

“Zoë was being very strict about [social distancing guidelines] anyway because she’s shooting a movie [The Batman],” Silverstein told WWD. “Taylor Swift was in her pod and willing to assist.”

MEGAKravitz has earned rave reviews for her performance in “The Batman,” for which she went full method. She talked about her intense preparation for the role during an interview on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last week.

“If I was cast as Catwoman, I would study cats. I would drink milk out of a bowl,” Jimmy Fallon, 47, told Kravitz, to which she responded: “I did that … I’m method, dude.”

The actress also “hung out with cats a lot,” including scheduled “cat time” with her feline friends, who played her character’s pets.

“They tried to get me to know the cats that were Selina’s cats, and it’s funny, they would say, ‘Training at 1:30, and then rehearsal at this time, and then cat time,’ and I was like, ‘What’s cat time?’ And it was just putting me in a room with a bunch of cats, the cats that were going to be my cats,” she recalled. “But the cats didn’t care … it did nothing.”

Is Catwoman Bisexual?

Kravitz also opened up about her approach to the character in a recent interview with Australia’s Pedestrian, sharing that she had “interpreted” the famed anti-heroine as bisexual.

The revelation came when host Matt Galea questioned the actress about one particular scene in which Selina Kyle/Catwoman calls her roommate Anika her “baby” and asked if the affectionate term meant the two women were more than just friends.

“That’s definitely the way I interpreted that, that they had some kind of romantic relationship,” Kravitz said.

MEGAGalea then expressed it was about time Catwoman, who is depicted as a bisexual woman in the comics, is finally portrayed as such onscreen, to which Kravitz agreed.

“The Batman” is out now in theaters and premieres on HBO Max on April 19.
