The actress has two decades under her belt in the movie business as this year marks the 20th anniversary of her experience, and she recently voiced her thoughts regarding the milestone.

MEGAThe “Doctor Strange” actress appeared at the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony, where she was presented the Vanguard Award.
As ET reported, the ceremony took place at Caesars Palace Colosseum Theatre in Las Vegas, where she also promoted her upcoming movie “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.”
Speaking with the outlet’s correspondent, McAdams relived her remarkable career and jokingly stated that the honor she received made her feel old.
She wondered if she had that much to celebrate as she did not realize her years of experience had been added up.
Twenty years have gone by so fast for the Oscar-nominated performer, and through those years, she has attained a notable collection of awards.
As you may know, this year marks a 20-year celebration of her conventional Hollywood movie unveiling in the 2002 comedy “The Hot Chick.” McAdams felt blessed regarding the milestone as she said:
“I mean, in some ways, I feel like I’ve just started, so it’s just funny to hear that. In other ways, I just feel lucky I’ve been able to do it this long. So it’s great.”
MEGAShe added while laughing, “I don’t think I’ve taken the time to really think about it; I was just like, ‘You’re gonna give me an award? I’ll show up. Sure!'”
According to the outlet, this year’s CinemaCon is exceptionally special for many people involved as the event “comes amid a gradual return” of motion-picture fans to theaters after the pandemic restrictions.
McAdams admitted that it was a delightful period to get involved in as she recalled feeling a sense of joy when she viewed a film from the cinema in her neighborhood. She shared:
“It’s such a beautiful moment to be a part. I was enjoying it just from my local movie theater last weekend. I was like, watching a comedy, but crying from happiness just sitting in that seat.”
The 43-year-old continued, “So, then to be here, for this event, for people that have persevered through this and are still passionate about bringing movies and the community of watching movies together, back – it’s emotional.”
It should be noted that she has two movies that will be released quite soon. “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” comes out to theaters on May 6, while “Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret” will hit theaters on September 16.

The Canadian actress dated her “The Notebook” co-star Ryan Gosling for about four years, from 2004 to 2008. She also seemed to have been romantically linked to Josh Lucas, Taylor Kitsch, and Michael Sheen.
Regarding her penchant for befriending her movie colleagues, ABC News revealed that she often took away at least a close relationship from every job, “some romantic, some not.”
Even though that has led to her being involved with multiple co-stars, she pointed out that that did not indicate she had a specific taste in men.
When asked if she dated only her colleagues, she replied, “I don’t think so? I like to be surprised by people, and I find that makes life a lot easier too when you just accept what’s coming to your way.”
The “State of Play” actress is not the shy type, but she was never ready to make the first move in forming relationships.
She believed that she gave off more confidence than she actually had and often got in trouble for “being overly friendly.”
Dating her co-stars has not entirely been a fairytale romance for the BAFTA Award nominee as such relationships got complicated eventually, which she later learned the hard way.
