Avengers: Endgame has finally arrived and now Guardians of the Galaxy 3 appears far more promising.

It's only just arrived and Avengers: Endgame is already being declared the greatest MCU film to date. The Russo brothers' fourth entry into the Avengers series is the culmination of over a decade of electrifying superhero cinema. Thanks to Avengers: Infinity War, very few doubted that they'd pull off this stunning conclusion, and of course, they have in fact delivered something truly special. Clocking in at just over three hours, this ambitious blockbuster is a whopping achievement and one that audiences will be incapable of forgetting. 

The entire cast delivers astonishing performances and some provide potentially career-crowning turns. Robert Downey Jr. has never been so commanding as Iron Man — it's incredible what he has achieved with the franchise over the years, truly. However, one of the undeniable highlights was Chris Hemsworth's Thor. If you have yet to see Avengers: Endgame, or don't wish to stumble across any spoilers, this may be best saved for later...

In the film's final moments, we say farewell to some fantastic characters. Some of these departures are eternal, some merely temporary. Fortunately, we're likely to enjoy a few more adventures with the hilarious God of Thunder. Hemsworth managed to convey such inner turmoil, and yet, he also lends the film some fantastic comic relief. As we say goodbye to him for a short while, it looks like he could actually be a key player in Guardians of the Galaxy 3

He accompanies Rocket and the gang onto the ship, bickering with Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) about who's officially in charge. It's a humorous little moment, but what it does is tease much more to come. If the scene is anything to go by, the third instalment in the sci-fi superhero series will be the best yet. In wake of such speculation, it actually seems a shame that James Gunn is back on board. We could have had Taika Waititi...
