Jason Momoa, Lisa Bonet Call Off Divorce, Give Love Another Chance

Love nearly died on January 12, 2022, when long-time flames, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet called it quits on their marriage, via a now-deleted Instagram post shared on Momoa’s page.

But it seems the tide is changing because Momoa and Bonet are giving it another go, thrilling their children, family, friends, and fans in the process.

On January 12, the world woke up to yet another couple going their separate ways, although in a loving and non-violent fashion. In a joint statement posted on Momoa’s Instagram, the couple wrote, “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so~ We share our Family news~ That we are parting ways in marriage. We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy ~ But so that~ as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty.”

The post went on to say how “the love between us carries on” and their connection is “evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived.”

It also read, “We free each other ~to be who we are learning to become…Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life & our Children […] Teaching our Children What’s possible.”

While most fans saw this as a death knell to their marriage, there was a ray of hope at the end of the message where he said that he and Bonet were living the prayer and hoped for love to prevail.

Fans felt bereft at the split and although Momoa had switched off comments on this post, they did comment on his other posts, begging the duo not to “kill the love”.

Love’s Not Over Yet

It seems that love has finally prevailed for Momoa and Bonet, as one of Momoa’s friends revealed to HollywoodLife, that not only are the couple giving it another whirl, they are already living together again.

As reported by the website, “Jason moved back in with Lisa about two weeks ago and they are very much back together. They decided to work on things rather than throw in the towel because they have so much invested in each other.”

Obviously, the couple’s two teenage children, daughter Lola, 14, and son Nakoa-Wolf, 13 are over the moon about it and everyone is praying that the couple makes it this time around.

Even after the divorce announcement, Momoa was still stepping up to the role of step-parent to actress Zoë Kravitz, Bonet’s daughter from her previous marriage to Lenny Kravitz.

Bonet and Momoa wed in October 2017, and have been married for five years now even though they started dating in 2005 itself.

But Momoa has been “forever crushing” on Bonet, and it started for him when he was just eight. In a 2017 appearance on James Corden’s “The Late Late Show”, Jason revealed that he was in love, the moment he saw her play Denise Huxtable on the 1980’s sitcom “The Cosby Show!”

According to the source, “Lisa is, and always has been, the only woman that Jason has ever loved.”

Fans of the couple are definitely feeling the love. That said; many would also be happy about the fact that the bromance between Bonet’s ex and thankfully, not-ex, will continue.

When the news was announced, Twitter went into a frenzy, wondering if bros Lenny Kravitz and Jason Momoa would break up as well.

For a while, social media also decided that the break-up between Momoa and Bonet was caused by a third wheel, and fingers squarely landed on Amber Heard, although nothing was reportedly cooking between the co-stars of “Aquaman”.

For now, the social media accounts of Jason Momoa stand silent and Lisa Bonet does not have one. Let’s see when Momoa starts posting sweet nothings about Bonet again, if nothing else to assure the fans they love is alive and well, and it won’t be over anytime soon.

This is Momoa’s last post.
