Jana Kramer Set To Follow Up Engagement Announcement With New Book

Jana Kramer is more than ready for her next chapter!

Well, that is what the country star has chosen to title her upcoming book, which will detail the story of the death of her marriage to Mike Caussin and her subsequent finding of happiness. Kramer, who recently got engaged to her current beau after six months of dating, will debut “The Next Chapter” in October 2023.

Although Kramer and Caussin created the picture-perfect image of forgiveness and reconciliation, it soon became evident that their union could not survive the latter’s sex addiction problems. The “Dead/Undead” actress ultimately filed for divorce from the former football tight end, citing “inappropriate marital conduct, irreconcilable differences and adultery” in 2021.

Two years later, Kramer has divulged that she is writing a book to share her experience during the nearly six-year marriage. Speaking to PEOPLE about the occurrence, she stated:

“I wish I had this book when I was going through my divorce because I would be able to, A, relate to someone and go, ‘OK, what might I be going through?’ or, ‘Oh yes, that’s exactly how I’m feeling. We just put the words on paper, and ‘The Next Chapter’ has come to life.”

After admitting that the book began with her divorce, the “Dancing with the Stars” contestant disclosed that it was more about her journey than her now ex-husband. In her words:

“I don’t want the book to be about [Mike]. This book is about me. This book is about reflecting on my journey and then looking in the mirror, going, ‘OK, what did I miss? What can I do better on? What can I learn from?'”

Later, the “One Tree Hill” alum revealed that her decision to release the book as soon as possible, instead of holding her breath for a fairytale love, was based on her belief that finding true happiness lies in being able to love herself.

As it turned out, things have worked perfectly for her as The Blast reported that she got engaged to Allan Russell, a Scottish soccer coach. At the time, the multitalented celeb told listeners of her podcast, “Whine Down with Jana Kramer”: 

“I’ve had a few things that I have not been talking about because, you know, I just want to do it when I’m ready, and so I’ve got an announcement today.”

An excited Kramer then gave the full details of the “wonderful night” that Russell went down on one knee. After divulging that she was enjoying the view on the front porch with her kids, she added:

“He said my name, and I got up or whatever, and then he got down on one knee, and Jolie just started jumping up and down. It was the cutest thing ever; it’s like she knew what was happening.”

The coach then dubbed the “Dance in the Rain” singer the love of his life and popped the question. She further recalled, “We just started crying, and it felt very sentimental given the front porch of the new house, new beginnings. It just felt right.”

During last year’s Christmas festivities, Kramer soaked in some much-needed quality time with her children — daughter Jolie and son Jace. She not only captured the sweet moments on camera, she took to Instagram to share the images with her two million followers.

In the first shot, the family of three cuddled up with one another on a couch, donning outfits that fit the mood of that day. While the 39-year-old wore a gray pajama set, her seven-year-old daughter rocked a multicolored top with green and red sleeves, and her four-year-old boy sported a red long-sleeved graphic shirt.

By the second slide, the adorable kids had changed into different outfits and taken their positions on the ground to unwrap their Christmas gifts. An up-close view of the clothes was then seen in a second video, highlighting that Jace’s onesie was decorated with his name and multiple mugs while his sister glowed in a red dress behind him.

“Celebrated Christmas morning with the kiddos today. It was still the same joy even on a different day…and it even snowed just like a true Christmas Day. Pure magic,” she wrote under the three-slide post uploaded on December 28.
