Although Hudson is a newbie to the daytime scene, she has learned enough from other shows. Thus, her announcement has left her fans anticipating the launch of “The Jennifer Hudson Show.” The screen goddess, who recently landed a Tony Award for producing the Broadway musical “A Strange Loop,” told fans in a tweet:

“I can’t believe I get to say this, but welcome to my show !!! Let’s light up daytime beginning September 12! Wait a minute that’s my birthday !!!”

The fact that she would launch her show on her birthday gave fans an extra incentive to tune in as one tweeted, “My birthday too, girl, congrats! Let’s watch your show in the daytime and party the rest of the day celebrating US!” Another potential viewer wrote, “Hearst Television cannot wait for your show to begin!! And on your birthday no less…amazing!!!” A third super fan added, “Whaaaat? Now THIS I will be watching! Congratulations Ms EGOT!!!!”

A follow-up update from the “If This Isn’t Love” singer came in a promotional clip she exclusively sent to PEOPLE. The footage started with Hudson saying that it was the first day of her show — which she was “still getting used to saying.” She then added, “I’m going to show you how it all happens. Camera man, tilt down,” prompting the camera to focus on her pink slippers.

The youngest EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards) winner also shared her wishes saying, “I hope my fans experience a good time. I hope they discover their superpower, and I hope they feel on top of the world before they leave The Jennifer Hudson Show. Let’s go live life, baby.”

According to a press release on the upcoming show, Hudson plans to use her “powerful voice in a new way” to drive “fun, uplifting, and empowering conversations to the forefront, shining a light on extraordinary stories, talents, and passions.”

The series will include celebrity interviews, community heroes, topical stories, viral sensations, and music. The show will air on station groups like Fox Television Stations, TEGNA, Hearst Television, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Scripps Media, and Nexstar Media Group.

In June, The Blast shared that the 40-year-old singer still felt blown away by her EGOT status, which she talked about in one of her Instagram posts. The post from Hudson included a video of her giving a toast at a celebratory party with her loved ones.

The “Spotlight” artist is heard reprising some parts of her Oscar Awards speech as she wowed in a black floor-length gown. After admitting how “overwhelmed” she was by the support and love she received in the accompanying caption, the mother-of-one wrote:

“What an honor ! Thank u all for being with me on this journey. I could not live this life without u. Like I said when I won my Oscar, look what God can do. Well He did it again!”

Fans took to the comments to congratulate the “Memory” singer, reminding her of how hard she had worked in her career. Several celebrities such as Taraji P. Henson, John Legend, Viola Davis, Michelle Williams, Melba Moore, Benj Pasek, and Merrell Hollis also chimed in with their congratulatory messages.

Her supporters got even more of the actress when she gave them updates of moments from the Tony Awards ceremony with several adorable pictures from her collection and Getty Images.

In case you missed it, Hudson has won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for the 2006 film “Dreamgirls,” two Grammys for the Best R&B Album for her album, “Jennifer Hudson,” and the Best Musical Theater Album for 2017’s “The Color Purple,” and a Daytime Emmy Award for the short film, “Baba Yaga.”

Her awards also include the Tonys mentioned above. Hudson joins the impressive list of established EGOT owners like Richard Rodgers (1962), Helen Hayes (1977), Rita Monero (1977), John Gielgud (1991), Audrey Hepburn (1993), and many others.
