Foo Fighter frontman Dave Grohl really likes Coors Light.
In fact, it’s reported to be his favorite beer. That’s why some fans are calling it a match made in heaven when Loudwire revealed that Dave Grohl and Coors Light have teamed up to create their very own limited edition beer to promote his upcoming film “Studio 666.”

MEGAOn February 25, the long-awaited Foo Fighters horror comedy film “Studio 666” finally hit theaters. The film tells the story of the band recording their tenth studio album, “Medicine at Midnight,” in a mansion in Encino, California. While the band is exploring the house, Dave Grohl becomes possessed by a demon and the band begins being haunted by all sorts of spooky supernatural entities.
To help celebrate the release of their new film, Coors Light whipped up a batch of a new beer they’re calling “Coors Almighty Light,” which is reported made with water that has been blessed by a non-denominational ordained minister.
It is not guaranteed to prevent demonic possessions, but it certainly couldn’t hurt.
The website for the beer reads: “Coors Almighty Light is the first spiritually-enhanced beer developed specifically to ward off demons while viewing the Foo Fighters’ dangerous new film Studio 666. Made with real sacred water that has been blessed, this drinkable demon deterrent will shield your soul with every sip.”
Dave Grohl Says ‘Studio 666’ Is A ‘Rock’n’Roll Movie That Has A Few Dumb Scares’
MEGAIn a new interview with Deadline, Grohl said of his latest film: “We’re making a f—ing rock’n’roll movie that has a few dumb scares and it’s going make you f—ing laugh your a– off.”
When Grohl was asked how the rest of the band felt about being picked off one by one by malevolent forces, Grohl replied, “Not surprised.”
“The premise of the movie evolved,” he explained. “It didn’t begin with me murdering everyone and going solo. It began as a story of Foo Fighters trying to find somewhere to make a record, winding up in a house that’s possessed by some ungodly demon.”
MEGA“Then it just it ballooned into something that we never imagined, which was an actual full-length feature horror film,” he added. “Most everything we do is on a whim and we don’t put too much thought into anything, but the music. We felt comfortable making this film because of the videos we had made before, which had all come from random dreams, ridiculous bus chatter, or backstage riffing.”
He also admitted that the film has an “Evil Dead” kind of vibe to it, referring to the film series that started in 1981.
“I mean as we were building the idea for the film, we definitely were cherry picking from our favorite horror film cliches,” he explained. “We’re in a haunted house where there’s a f—ing gate to hell downstairs and it’s a book made flesh. We’re stuck in this house together, like The Shining… we’ve borrowed a few elements from a few different classic horror films. We always realized the one thing that would set this apart is that it was a rock and roll movie.”
But Is ‘Studio 666’ Going To Get A Sequel?
MEGAWithout spilling any spoilers, Grohl thinks that it’s still possible for “Studio 666” to have a sequel. He also ventured the possibility of a spin-off with another band, like Radiohead.
“You never know,” he said. “Believe me, we’ve talked about every f—ing sequel possibility. Everything from getting the Wu Tang Clan in. I do think that whether it’s Foo Fighters or another band, I hope people will take the ball and run with it from here to bring that that rock and roll movie genre back.”
“Look at all the f—ing remakes that you have to suffer through every year,” he added. “F— that, put the money towards sending Radiohead into a f—ing into a haunted mansion and see what happens. Believe me, people will enjoy it.”
“Studio 666” debuted in theaters today, on Friday, February 25, 2022. Early reviews that have come in for the film have been pretty positive overall. Fans can get a look at a teaser for the film below!
