The eight-part show will debut in Ireland on 12 September and tells the story of a fictional Dublin family embroiled in a gangland war.

Its plot synopsis from RTÉ reads: "When a member of the Kinsella clan is killed, the family embark on a gangland war with an international cartel, a war that is impossible to win.

"Out-numbered, out-financed and out-gunned - the Kinsellas find themselves holed up in their Dublin stronghold while their businesses fail, and family members and associates are picked off. But they have something the cartel does not, the unbreakable bonds of blood and family..."

The series' hugely impressive cast includes Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones), Ciarán Hinds (There Will Be Blood), Clare Dunne (Herself), Charlie Cox (Daredevil), Emmett Scanlan (Peaky Blinders), Maria Doyle Kennedy (Outlander) and Sam Keeley (The Cured).

While it was known Kin will arrive in the US for subscribers of AMC+ on Thursday, 9 September, up until now there was no confirmed airing date for the show here in Ireland.
