Julia Fox is doting on her son, Valentino, as he turns 1 today.
The “Unct Gems” star, 31, took to Instagram to celebrate her child’s birthday, sharing rare photos and a video. Fox gave fans a rare glimpse at Valentino with adorable throwback pics that included her ex-husband Peter Artemiev.
Sweet Memories
The first slide showed a video of the actress playing in the sun with Valentino. She had been kissing her son’s face as it was filled with kiss marks. A swipe to the right showed a snapshot taken from the baby’s baptism with Fox and Artemiev both dressed in matching black ensembles. The latter was seen kissing his newborn’s head.
In the third pic, Julia and Valentino rocked costumes for Halloween with the former as Princess Leia, while Valentino was Yoda. Another photo in the slide showed a family picture taken on the red carpet. Fox rocked a plunging black dress, while Artemiev sported a printed blue-and-white, button-down shirt and matching bottoms. Meanwhile, baby Valentino was dressed in a white shirt and stretchy blue pants. The last two images showed a newborn Valentino at the hospital.
Heartfelt Message
MEGA“My beautiful baby is 1 today!! Thank you so much for showing me what love is,” Fox wrote in the caption.
She continued, “Thank you for humbling me and teaching me patience and hard work. Thank you for being my biggest blessing. My greatest accomplishment. My masterpiece. I don’t deserve you but somehow we’re here and I promise to love you unconditionally and accept you for who you are,” adding a black heart emoji.
Fans React
Within two hours of going live on her Instagram feed, the post has earned more than 50,300 likes and upward of 490 comments. Fans flocked to the comments section and wrote birthday wishes for the little boy.
“Aaaaawww Happy Birthday tiny human,” one wrote and added a red heart emoji.
“Happy birthday to your baby. I am a fan, girl! The more I read about you the more I root for you!!” added another follower.
“They grow so quickly! Happy Birthday little sweet guy!” quipped a commenter.
“At least Ye will get invited to this birthday party,” the fourth one hilariously remarked of Fox’s boyfriend Kanye West not being invited to his daughter Chicago’s recent birthday bash.
Doing The Right Thing
MEGAThe photos came after Fox apologized to Artemiev for calling him an “alcoholic” and a “deadbeat dad.”
“All I want to say is, I’m sorry,” the “No Sudden Move” star said during the Friday episode of her “Forbidden Fruits” podcast co-hosted by Niki Takesh.
She continued, “You’re not a deadbeat, I know that you’re not, and I know that it wasn’t that you weren’t trying to see [son] Valentino, it’s that you weren’t trying to see me.”
Fox revealed that she wrote the social media rant about her baby daddy during the holidays after she hadn’t heard from him in “a month or more.”
“Everyone had COVID,” Fox recalled. “I had no help at all whatsoever, and my friend was out and saw Peter out and Peter was saying something along the lines of, ‘that bitch won’t let me see my son.’ And when that was relayed to me … my blood boiled. I just snapped.”
Opening Up About The Past
Fox said she tried to get in touch with Artemiev several times, which made his alleged statement even more infuriating. She also shared that the father of her child was not a fan of stardom.
“He just is so not about this life,” she said, adding, “He doesn’t give a f–k about it. He’s, like, the most chillest, down-to-earth, authentic guy.”
Fox went on to share details of their relationship, revealing that they met before filming “Uncut Gems,” but didn’t date until months later.
“We met before uncut gems, and it was like love at first sight and I actually got his number and I texted him like, ‘ hey do you have a girlfriend?’ and he said, ‘yeah I do,’ and never like hit me back or anything, and I actually love that about him. I was like, ‘okay I respect that,’ because you know, most guys would probably cheat on their girlfriend.”
After a month of dating, Fox and Artemiev married in Las Vegas.
According to Fox, they are now in a better place as her son hung out with his dad while she was doing her podcast.
