Justin Roiland Vindicated In Assault Accusations, Will He Get His Jobs Back?

Justin Roiland is off the hook after being accused by an ex-girlfriend of domestic assault. The Rick and Morty creator spoke out after being vindicated.

Justin Roiland Is ‘Deeply Shaken’

The writer shared his feelings on social media after having the domestic violence case against him thrown out. “justice,” he captioned a screenshot of his lengthy take on the incident at hand.

“I have always known that these claims were false,” he opened the statement. “I never had any doubt that this day would come. I’m thankful that this case has been dismissed but, at the same time, I’m still deeply shaken by the horrible lies that were reported about me during this process.”

Roiland’s ex-girlfriend filed paperwork with the courts in January that accused him of one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud, and/or deceit.

The accuser known as Jane Doe alleged the attack took place in or around January 2020. Roiland pleaded not guilty and posted a $50k bond in August of 2020 after he was arrested at his home. Once he bonded out, the showrunner was instructed to stay 100ft away from Jane Doe per court order.

Roiland’s statement addressed how quickly friends and colleagues were to turn on him without any proof.

“Most of all, I’m disappointed that so many people were so quick to judge without knowing the facts, based solely on the word of an embittered ex trying to bypass due process and have me “canceled.”

Roiland was promptly let go from his jobs at Adult Swim and Hulu which houses Rick and Morty and Solar Opposites on the latter. At the time of the charges, Roiland’s lawyer spoke with the Daily Mail regarding his client.

“It is hard to overstate how inaccurate the recent media coverage of this situation has been,” said Edward Welbourn. “To be clear, not only is Justin innocent but we also have every expectation that this matter is on course to be dismissed once the District Attorney’s office has completed its methodical review of the evidence”

The attorney said, “We look forward to clearing Justin’s name and helping him move forward as swiftly as possible.”

It looks like Roiland may be on a mission to get his jobs back or at least back on the show he created, Rick and Morty. “Now that the legal case has ended, I’m determined to move forward and focus both on my creative projects and restoring my good name,” he summarizes his statement.

Besides the statement, Roiland has been relatively quiet on social media since the accusations and his fight for “justice”. He has promoted his voice acting role on Koala Man and a game his company Squanch Games is releasing called ‘High On Life” and some of the cool effects happening around making the game.

Thankfully for Roiland, maybe some things can begin to get back to normal for him and his career!
