The Grammy’s entertainment was on point according to viewers. One of the performances was Kacey Musgraves honoring the late Loretta Lynn. The country rebel took the stage to sing Loretta’s hit “Coal Miner’s Daughter”.

The show took place at the Crypto.com Arena and Kacey took the stage in a gorgeous red dress that stops at her ankles and is accented with exaggerated sleeves. Her brown locks were out and flowing and framed the 34-year-old’s face perfectly.

Kacey also held onto a special accessory, Mrs. Lynn’s guitar! And not just any one of her guitars, the one she wrote and performed many hits with.

The guitar is beautiful! Kacey strummed on it with bare feet swinging like a real country girl.  Loretta died in October 2022 of natural causes; she was 90. A photo of the country legend hung behind Kacey as the singer crooned the 1970s hit song.

Loretta was a three-time Grammy winner herself and back in 2014, Kacey was lucky enough to share the stage with Loretta during the Country Music Awards and shared that Lynn had been one of her musical inspirations growing up.

Musgraves also got the chance to sing with Loretta that night. The two performed the legend’s hit “You’re Lookin’ At Country.” Kacey shared the emotional Grammy moment with her followers when she exited the stage on Sunday.

Kacey took to Instagram Story to immortalize the amazing moment in her career and highlight how crazy it felt to be holding Loretta’s guitar. “Ten year old me singing Loretta’s songs would never have dreamed I’d be putting my hands right where she made magic for decades,” she wrote with a photo of herself performing that night.

“Thank you to the family of @lorettalynnofficial for trusting me with her guitar and this moment of honor tonight. I wouldn’t have the courage or place I have as a songwriter without her,” points out the “Slow Burn” singer.

She posted another photo of the spectacular night, a perfect shot of herself mirroring Loretta holding the infamous guitar in almost the same way.
