Kinks reunion not a sure thing just yet
The Kinks rocker Ray Davies said his iconic band will get back together after more than 20 years, but sources close to the fractious act are only cautiously optimistic.
Davies said in a UK interview they were “making a new Kinks album.” But when the enigmatic singer was asked if they were reuniting, he joked, “Officially we are … in the pub later on.”
He added, “It won’t be well-organized like the Rolling Stones … The Kinks will probably be playing the local bar.”
A pal close to the action told Page Six nothing’s confirmed — but there are talks.
Davies’ bro and bandmate Dave Davies has a new album, “Decade,” out in September.
