Keke Palmer Says ‘No Means No’ Even When It’s For A Photo With A Star!

Since her initial part in “Barbershop 2: Back in Business” at the age of 11, Keke Palmer‘s acting career has grown to be a major thing in the film business. Palmer also juggles her acting career with music, making a name for herself through her multiple hit singles.

2022 began with the actress starring in several major films, ranging from her role as an enslaved person in the drama film “Alice” to her impending roles in the “Toy Story” spinoff “Light Year” and Jordan Peele’s sci-fi horror “Nope.”

While her growing fame means she’ll be less anonymous while she’s out and about, Palmer still expects fans to respect her privacy and has recently taken to Twitter to detail an awful interaction she had with a fan.

Keke Palmer Revealed That She Declined The Fan’s Photo Request

The 28-year-old actress and singer issued a series of posts on Twitter on Saturday, recounting a recent unpleasant encounter. Palmer said that a lady repeatedly refused to understand that she did not want to take a photo with her despite respectfully declining the request.

“No means no, even when it doesn’t pertain to sex,” The former Nickelodeon star began her first tweet. “I was at the bar the other day and this girl asked me three times for a picture and I told her three times nicely that I did not want [to] take one with her.”

Even after Palmer clearly refused to comply with the request, the lady went ahead and videotaped her against her will, leaving the Hollywood star unhappy that there was nothing she could do to stop the breach of her privacy.

She added: “If I went off on her I would’ve been wrong, so I just nervously laughed while my privacy was invaded upon.”

Palmer Reposted Her Tweet On Instagram

Palmer was so upset by the incident that she later headed to Instagram to express her feelings about it. She posted her two Twitter messages and captioned that she was “still upset” over the situation.

“I hated that I smiled, but that is my defense mechanism to laugh or joke in an uncomfortable situation and it misleads people every time,” the “Bossy” crooner said.

“Literally I could be wanting to scream, and on the outside, I’m still preforming [sic]. The fact that I tell people no at all is therapeutic progress for me ibvs [sic],” Palmer continued.

The award-winning artist then started a discussion about how, as a celebrity, she had always tried to avoid getting into fights when someone crossed her limits. She went on to say that doing it all the time to satisfy people means “you let yourself down every time.”

Fans Shared Their Support For Palmer

On this note, Palmer asserted that “If you ever want a picture with me and I say no, let’s just let that rock,” in reference to her earlier post that “No means No.”

After making her emotional post, fans inundated Palmer’s comment section with an outpouring of love and support to show that they fully sided with her opinion on the incident.
