Is love truly blind?

The answer to this universal question may be impossible to conclude, but Netflix’s smash-hit reality series “Love Is Blind” once again attempted to answer this question in its second season finale!

Love Is Blind 3

Season two featured plenty of gasp-worthy moments from the six couples who received air time, (there were eight couples featured in total; Imagine how many extra moments of marital bliss we missed!), and not every single couple survived long enough to make it to their honeymoon.

Spoilers are ahead!

Which Couples Made It Down The Aisle?

The couples featured in the show gave viewers a RANGE of moments to pour over! From Shayne and Shaina’s Ross-and-Rachel style “will they or won’t they?” relationship, to Abhishek ‘Shake’ Chatterjee’s hot-and-cold relationship with Deepti Vempati, and every doubt in between, fans were hooked on the season’s 10 episodes.

Danielle and Nick were the first couple to tie the knot! Their nuptials were teased at the end of episode nine with a nail-biter of a cliffhanger, but not to worry: Danielle and Nick agreed love IS blind!

The couple may have had a rocky road to the altar, but Danielle and Nick’s love story was an important one. The duo spent much of their screentime having extremely candid conversations about Danielle’s past and present struggles with mental health, and viewers were able to see many of their vulnerable moments as they navigated their highly unusual courtship.

Iyanna and Jarrette said “I do” in an intimate ceremony, officiated by Jarrette’s father, and filled with many sweet moments!

Iyanna and Jarrette’s fate at the end of the show was not always clear. Throughout the season, Iyanna was open about her doubts concerning her fiancé. She was unsure if Jarrette would be able to leave his clubbing days behind him after their wedding.

Luckily, Jarrette was able to show off his dance moves and get his groove on at the couple’s lively reception!

As of this writing, neither couple has made their marital statuses official on social media, but internet sleuths are confident through Instagram likes and stories Nick and Danielle and Iyanna and Jarrette are both still together!

Which Couples Were On The Road To Splitsville?

Unfortunately not every couple’s love story had a fairytale ending!

“Love Is Blind” has never shied away from airing the less-than-blissful moments of the featured relationships. Every stage of Natalie and Shayne’s relationship evolution was covered; Viewers were able to witness extroverted Shayne’s rollercoaster relationship with Shaina while still in the pods, to Shaina’s attempts to weigh in on the health and future of Natalie and Shayne’s relationship!

Natalie Lee, however, remained fairly confident throughout the experiment in her feelings for Shayne, and how tight their bond remained. The couple was so in tune with one another to the point of knowing it wouldn’t be the best move for them to say “yes” to whether love was blind.

The couple was even featured having a discussion after Natalie decided to trust her heart and not go through with the wedding, where she stated she was willing to give the relationship another try.

The couple seems to be on good enough terms IRL. According to Natalie’s latest Instagram post, Shayne still follows her and interacts with her photos!

As for Shake and ‘Deeps’, their lavish celebration did not lead to marital bliss. The former couple’s courtship largely revolved around Shake’s uncertainly about his physical attraction toward Deepti.

In fact, he was NOT shy about expressing his true feelings where he repeatedly shared that being intimate with Deepti reminded him of being around a family member! Cringe!

Deepti ultimately decided to walk away from their relationship on their wedding day as she triumphantly chose herself over self-doubt within the relationship.

Throughout her relationship with Shake, Deepti never lost sight of her self-worth. Deepti summed up her feelings to Us Weekly when she shared, “I just don’t have room for people in my life who don’t see me in the best way. And who could even think those types of thoughts, I guess.”

The final couple Mallory and Sal ended up following through with their doubtful feelings once they arrived at the altar. Salvador ‘Sal’ Perez ultimately walked away, after feeling confident he would be able to make a final decision once he saw his bride walk down the aisle.

‘Mal’ and ‘Sal’ were able to ease their situation with a frank discussion about the future of their relationship after calling off their wedding. Communication really IS key!

The reunion special will be available to stream on March 4th!
