Kenny G is getting heat for his questionable hair-cleaning schedule, after claiming he only washes his long-curly hair once a month!

The legendary saxophonist dropped the bombshell at the premiere of his new documentary, ‘Listening to Kenny G,’ at the SVA Theatre in New York. Obviously, you would think Kenny’s beautiful long locks were treated with the best products in town, but it turns out, the key to success is to just let it sit…dirty!

“It doesn’t get dirty, I’m a clean guy,” Kenny told Page Six.

Shockingly, the famous musician admitted he only washes his hair “once every three weeks.” Wait…what?!

The best part, the sax player doubled down pointing out that he doesn’t have any endorsement for his famous luscious locks, saying, “Unfortunately, I don’t have any endorsements, So, I don’t gain anything by using them, other than they’re the right thing.”

Like the rest of us, Kenny G actually uses products like Pantene shampoo and conditioner on his famous hair. Plus, he tosses in a bit of MOP defining cream to get the famous look. BTW — you can score that on your own for about $20! In other words, Kenny’s famous hair is not done by some stylist to the stars.

Kenny G Is The Latest A-List Celebrity To Be Questioned Over Bathing Habits!

But, Kenny whose real name is Kenneth Gorelick, is the latest in a long list of celebrities who are being questioned over their bathing habits.

Several months ago, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis made huge headlines after claiming they didn’t bathe their children every day. “I didn’t have hot water growing up as a child, so I didn’t shower much anyway,” Kunis said. Adding, “But when I had children, I also didn’t wash them every day, I wasn’t that parent that bathed my newborns — ever.”

The ‘That 70’s Show’ star clarified the statement, saying, “Now, here’s the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.” Kutcher agreed with the sentiment and said, “I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever. I got a bar of Lever 2000 that delivers every time. Nothing else.”

Jake Gyllenhaal: I Find Bathing To Be Less Necessary At Times

Jake Gyllenhaal made similar waves after telling Vanity Fair that “more and more I find bathing to be less necessary at times.” He continued, “I do also think that there’s a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves.” Interestingly, Jake admitted he DOES believe in brushing his teeth every day, saying, “I do believe because Elvis Costello is wonderful, that good manners and bad breath get you nowhere. So I do [brush my teeth].”

In the end, it’s unclear if Kenny’s decision not to wash his hair causes any issues when he is interacting with his family and fans, but one thing is for certain, it sure looks good! Plus, there’s a huge difference between not taking a shower or bath, and simply deciding not to wash your hair every day.
