Kenya Moore shades Marlo Hampton: ‘I’m an icon, she’s an ex-con’

Kenya Moore slammed her “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast mate Marlo Hampton, calling her an “ex-con” in an interview on “The Wendy Williams Show.”

The reality star dished the diss after being told by guest host Michael Rapaport that Hampton claimed she was “jealous” due to the former friend-of-the-show finally earning her peach and becoming a full cast member.

“Jealous? That’s really silly,” Moore, 51, said between giggles. “I’m an icon, she’s an ex-con.”

As the shocked audience gasped at the comment, the actress added. “Why would I be jealous?”

The quip led Rapaport to ask Moore if she’s “always been good at snapping? Like, have you always been good at talking crap?”

“Probably, yeah!,” she replied with smile and laughter.

Later during the Q&A, Moore added that she believes Hampton is attempting to “be like a NeNe [Leakes],” who departed the series in 2020.

“You’ll never fill those shoes, so just stay in your lane. Or, you know, behind your bars.”

The conversation then turned to Shereé Whitfield, another former nemesis of Moore who is now on good terms with her fellow “housewife.”

“I’m happy we’re friends again,” Moore said before Rapaport added, “Yeah, because you guys have duked it out.”

“She’s my neighbor, like, literally, I can throw a stone and hit her back window. So, I need to be friends with her because I might need some brown sugar.”

Moore also teased future tension with Kandi Burruss, who spoke to Page Six in March about Moore’s attempt to “come for her” this season.

“She tried to come for me one time. I gave it back to her. You can’t [try me]. I’m not going for it,” Burruss said at the time. “Go try that over there. Don’t try it with me. Try Jesus, don’t try me. That’s how I feel.”
