Kim Kardashian is ‘very supportive’ of Pete Davidson going to therapy

Kim Kardashian is “very supportive” of Pete Davidson’s decision to seek help after being bullied by her ex-husband, Kanye West.

Since news first broke that Kardashian and the “Saturday Night Live” star had started dating, West has been taking shots at Davidson online, even giving him the nickname “Skete.”

And when Kardashian and the “King of Staten Island” star split last week, West posted a faked newspaper cover announcing the death of “Skete.”

“Kim was very supportive of Pete going to therapy,” one source told Page Six.

“Kanye was very detrimental. He was posting negative things — now add thousands and thousands of comments. Someone has to work with you to deal with something like that,” they added.

Davidson also received death threats from West’s fans, which is partially why he has been in “trauma therapy” in April, according to the source.

“Getting death threats from [Kanye’s] fans and all the negative attention online doesn’t feel good for the average person — add someone who’s struggled with mental illness, and it’s even worse,” another source pointed out.

Davidson has always been open about his mental health issues.

In 2018, he caused a panic by writing on Instagram, “I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore. I actually don’t know how much longer i can last. all I’ve ever tried to do was help people.”

And, in fact, he praised West — who has also publicly struggled with mental health problems — for being open about them.

“Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health,” he wrote that same year.

“I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye.”

After Kardashian and Davidson ended their nine-month relationship, West reacted by posting about Davidson’s fake death on Instagram, and sources told us Kardashian was “livid and incredibly upset.

Davidson hasn’t publicly responded to the post, but sources told us Kardashian refuses to tolerate West’s bullying. He eventually removed the post.

Meanwhile, Davidson has been working on a film in Australia for about three months, where “he’s been able to heal like a normal person,” the second source said.

The first source confirmed Davidson “is still in therapy, but focusing on his film.”

“The distance from the public eye has probably been good in a way,” they said.

And despite the rapper roiling Davidson’s health, sources insist West did not cause his split from Kardashian. Multiple sources attributed the breakup as “due to distance and schedules.”

“They were together for nine months. He’s been [in Australia] for three months. She has four kids and several huge businesses. It just didn’t work,” the second source said.

A third source described the breakup “as clean and amicable as it could be.”

“As much as they both wanted the relationship to work and enjoyed being together when they could be, they realized that it might be months at a time when they could see each other, so they decided it would be best to be friends,” they said.
