Lana Del Rey Praises Migos’ Style Of Music And Expresses Desire To Collaborate

Lana Del Rey has consistently been one of the biggest artists in the world, over the course of the past decade. This weekend, she was also honored at Variety’s Hitmakers Brunch award ceremony, where she was honored with the Artist Of The Decade award.

“Thank you, Variety. I’m really always grateful for any acknowledgment and also super grateful for all the criticism… I get a lot.” Lana continued to explain that over the past decade, “turning criticism into something that you can reflect upon … There’s a lot of opinions. I’m very sensitive.”

Lana Eyes Migos Collaboration

An interview from the Variety Hitmakers Brunch is now going viral, of Lana expressing her desire to work with Migos. The Atlanta trio has been one of the hottest groups in hip-hop, since 2013. They’ve also established themselves as a dominant force in the industry, overall, as they have a number one album under their belts.

“I love them. Everything they do,” said Lana, regarding Migos. “There was kind of like a new revolution of sound 11 years ago in the singer-songwriter community, which I loved seeing. And then with Migos, I think they kicked off a new super fun, super autobiographical, completely different style of rap. I love them.”

Lana Has Worked With Other Hip-Hop Stars As Well

Despite Lana being an established international superstar, she is always open to working with artists from other genres, as evident with the desire to collaborate with Migos. Lana currently has records out, with rappers such as A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti.

Lana Released Two New Albums In 2021

In addition to Lana being honored as the Artist of the Decade, she also delivered a new album to her fans, in October. This was “Blue Banisters,” which was her eighth studio album. This project was led by singles such as “Blue Banisters” and “Text Book.” The Blue Banisters album as a whole, went on to debut at number eight, on the Billboard 200 chart.

In addition to Blue Banisters, Lana also released an album, back in March. This was “Chemtrails Over The Country Club. This earned high praise as well, as it saw a number two debut. “Let Me Love You Like A Woman” and “White Dress,” were several of the notable singles, on this album.

Lana Has Been Dominant Over The Past Decade

Lana definitely earned her Artist Of The Decade award, as her resume backs her up. Since 2010, she’s released eight albums, as two have seen number one debuts in the US, and three have landed in the top two. Lately, though, Lana has been very quiet, on social media.

Lana Deactivated Social Media Accounts Three Months Ago

With Lana seeing much success with her new “Blue Banisters” and “Chemtrails Over The Country Club” albums, there hasn’t been activity on her social media feeds lately, at all. Back in September, she went on to deactivate her accounts. This move was made, in order to start new endeavors.

“Hi guys, I just wanted to let you know that tomorrow we are going to be deactivating our social media accounts, my social media accounts and that is simply because, uh, I have other so many other interests and other jobs I’m doing that require privacy and transparency.”
