The live video platform 2WAY is launching a new show Cancer Decoded in partnership with Patrick Soon-Shiong, the biotech billionaire, surgeon and scientist and owner of the Los Angeles Times.
Cancer Decoded will air on 2WAY’s YouTube and X Channels as well as on Los Angeles Times Studios’ streaming platform, according to the announcement. Soon-Shiong will host the show along with 2WAY editor-in-chief Mark Halperin.
The show will debut at 7:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, with the first guest, Simon Khagi, a medical and neuro oncologist at Hoag in Orange County. The focus will be on the treatment of glioblastoma. Other shows will feature scientists focused on research, treatment and prevention, as well as survivors.
In a statement, Soon-Shiong said that the goal of Cancer Decoded “is to create a space where science is made understandable, where patients and families feel supported and where we share conversations and perspectives with compassion, honesty and the belief that knowledge empowers healing.”

2WAY launched in October, 2024, and features shows including The Morning Meeting, featuring Halperin, the video platform’s founder, as well as Sean Spicer and Dan Turrentine.
Soon-Shiong invented Abraxane, used to treat breast, lung and pancreatic cancer.
Soon-Shiong appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show earlier this year and suggested that Covid may be related to a rise in cancers among young adults. That claim triggered some pushback among other researchers.
