Pedro Pascal Says ‘I Basically Own The World’ After Hollywood Success

Actor Pedro Pascal is in right now.

After first becoming a hit with audiences in “Game of Thrones,” he was cast in the “Wonder Woman: 1984” sequel. He starred as the titular “The Mandalorian” for the very successful Disney+ live-action “Star Wars” series and most recently starred alongside Nicolas Cage in the 2022 comedy “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.”

Pascal seems to be very aware of his success, saying, “I basically own the world.” However, there is one thing that Pascal doesn’t have: the love of “Star Wars” Resistance pilot Poe Dameron, also known as Oscar Isaac.

In an interview for Esquire’s ongoing video series, “Explain This,” Pascal was asked about his famous friendship with Oscar Isaac, who is now starring as the titular “Moon Knight” in the Disney+ Marvel adaption of the comic book series. Isaac had previously said that Pascal was “obsessed” with him “like a disease.”

When asked for a response, Pascal replied, “I don’t care to respond. Whatever makes him happy. I’ll always be there for you, Oscar. Always.”

Pascal might have a new best friend in Nic Cage after starring in “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent,” which features the “National Treasure” actor playing a fictionalized version of himself.

Pascal explained that he hasn’t met Cage’s two pet king cobras, but that he did FaceTime with them. It seems that Cage is also feeling on top of the world right now, as he told PEOPLE that he felt “very blessed” by his success in a recent interview.

In his new film, “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent”, the “Face/Off” star plays a fictionalized version of himself who is constantly searching for his next big role to reclaim the former highs of his acting career. While reflecting on his early career, the publication asked Cage what words of wisdom he would give to his younger self if he could.

“I would say it’s gonna be alright,” Cage replied. “I would say that your dreams — the real Nicky, the Nicky that watched Midnight Cowboy for the first time on a funky old television in Louise Vogelsang, my grandmother’s house and had his heartstrings pulled and his heart torn out — I would say that we’re going to make some movies down the road that you’re going to have that feeling again.”

He added, “I’m also gonna say that no matter what people think, whatever the media wants to say or they want to marginalize your so-called ‘direct-to-video’ movies, you’re going to do some of the best work of your life in the last 10 years that will hold up to any of the first 30 years.”

“I’ll put Mandy next to Face/Off. I’ll put Pig next to Leaving Las Vegas. It goes on: Bad Lieutenant, Joe,” he continued. “So for me, I’m feeling very blessed right now.”
