Mark Hamill Reveals His Most Valued Item He Kept From ‘Star Wars’

Actor Mark Hamill has a lot of valued memories from his time filming the original Star Wars trilogy, but what about memorabilia?

Earlier this week, Mark Hamill commented on a tweet that revealed a Star Wars X-Wing model from the first movie sold for over two million dollars! That prompted fans to wonder what the most valuable item Mark took home from the film set… and it’s nothing anyone would have expected!

Mark Hamill Reveals What He Kept From The Set Of ‘A New Hope’

It started on June 21, when The Hollywood Reporter shared the news that a Star Wars X-Wing Fighter model used in 1977’s ‘A New Hope’ sold for $2.3 million dollars at an auction.

The following day, Mark Hamill tweeted, “I should have kept mine.”

Correspondent Rupert Myers then asked, “What’s the most valuable thing you’ve ever kept? Surely a lightsaber?” However, what Mark kept seems to be a lot more personal.

Mark Hamill revealed he kept a pair of boots from “A New Hope,” writing, “My boots from the very 1st film. Don’t know their value because I’d never sell them.”

Many fans wondered if they still fit! However, Mark Hamill is far from the only Star Wars alum who kept something from his role on the series. Although Mark is best known for playing Jedi Luke Skywalker throughout the series, Adam Driver played his nephew, Ben Solo, throughout the Star Wars sequel trilogy. However, Ben Solo had turned to the dark side by the time the sequel trilogy kicked off with 2015’s “The Force Awakens,” so some fans probably know him better by the name Kylo Ren.

In a 2021 interview, Adam Driver confessed that he had taken “lots of stuff” over the course of the three films, including two helmets and a lightsaber. “I wear my helmets when I drive, just to confuse people,” he joked.

Last November, he also took part in the Ridley Scott drama “House of Gucci” alongside Lady Gaga, Jeremy Irons, Jared Leto, and Al Pacino. The “Marriage Story” actor revealed that he took a pair of Gucci shoes from the set and considered swiping a belt, but later decided against it.

Although he’s earned two Academy Award nominations, the Hollywood A-Lister has more of a laid-back ensemble.

“I thought I could pull them off,” Driver admitted. “But then, when you get back to reality, you’re like, ‘Oh, I’m not wearing these.’”

However, as many people would assume, the “Girls” alum confessed to trying to talk something from every movie that he appears in. He starred opposite Bill Murray in the horror-comedy “The Dead Don’t Die” and admitted to taking home a machete that he used zombies with.

In addition to taking a lot of pictures, Driver admitted that he also took home several items from the sets of his two other 2021 films: “Annette” and “The Last Duel.” He reportedly took home a suit of armor after appearing in the Ridley Scott medieval flick.

So what does Driver do with all of the mementos that he has collected from his past films?

“I keep them in a room and I just pray to myself as an homage to all the things that I’ve done,” he joked.
