Matty Healy alludes to Taylor Swift breakup, ‘relentless’ fan hate

Matty Healy alluded to the “relentless” hate he’s received from Taylor Swift fans in light of their now-former relationship — but he said he’s doing just fine.

In a video posted to social media, the 1975 frontman paused his band’s performance Monday to read some of his fans’ supportive signs and paused at one that said, “You are loved.”

“That was very, very kind of you,” he said as he pointed to the devoted concertgoer.

“I’m sure that’s alluding to …” Healy said, stopping himself before mentioning anyone by name.

“As you’re aware, I’m not very online at the moment, and I’m sure people have just been calling me a c–t relentlessly.”

Healy, 34, said he’s been focusing on spending time with his “boys” in light of his breakup with Swift, 33, and the incessant hate — which included an online campaign against him — he’s received since news broke in May that they were dating.

“I’ve not been online, but what I have been with is my boys,” Healy continued.

“And honestly, as much as I appreciate that [sign] — it’s so beautiful, and I thank you — but I don’t need it because I’ve got them.”

Page Six confirmed Monday that the “Sound” crooner and the “Anti-Hero” singer split after just one month of dating. A source told us that the musicians’ brief romance was never intended to be serious and that Swift wanted to blow off steam after her “stifling” six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn.

“Everyone who really knows her has been saying all along that this was a fun, good time thing that would last as long as it lasted and would be no big deal once it was done,” our insider shared.

“It’s all stupid,” they said of the media frenzy surrounding Healy and Swift. “She will not be writing albums about this one. It was a summertime thing. Does everyone have amnesia about Tom Hiddleston? Jesus Christ.”

The insider further noted that the “All Too Well” performer “can’t have a good time with anyone without the press marrying her off to them.”

“Then when she moves on, they have to basically have her file for divorce,” the source added.

Alwyn, 32, meanwhile, reportedly has been “doing his best to keep busy and focus on himself.”
