Actress Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are reportedly “on a break” after their alleged argument during Super Bowl weekend.

On that Sunday, the “Jennifer’s Body” actress shared a cryptic post about “dishonesty” that led to speculation that her fiancé had been unfaithful. She then deleted her Instagram account, leaving many wondering about the status of their relationship.

Fox returned to Instagram the following week to make a brief statement claiming that there was no “third party interference” in their relationship, but it looks like the two are taking a break from the relationship.

On Wednesday, March 22, more than a month after their alleged break-up, US Weekly reported that the couple is hitting the pause button on their relationship. An insider told the outlet that they “are still in contact” but have been on the rocks for weeks leading up to Fox’s cryptic post.

“They are very hot and cold,” a source said on Wednesday. “They have stalled wedding planning to work on their issues.” The insider described their relationship as “pretty volatile,” adding that the pair “are currently off, but still texting each other.”

The two have made several public appearances apart. According to the Houston Chronicle, MGK performed in Houston and even suggested that he might move to Texas because his life is “in shambles.”

Meanwhile, the 36-year-old actress attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party by herself and was photographed posing for pictures without her diamond and emerald engagement ring.

‘There has been no third party interference in this relationship of any kind’

On Sunday, February 19, only a week after her initial post, the 36-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a single post denying that there was any “third party interference” in their relationship.

“There has been no third party interference in this relationship of any kind,” Fox wrote.  “That includes, but is not limited to..actual humans, DMs, Al bots or succubus demons.”

“While I do hate to rob you of running random baseless news stories that would have been much more accurately written by ChatGPT, you need to let this story die and leave all of these innocent people alone now,” she added.

That post has currently been deleted. There are no photos or videos on Fox’s Instagram account and she is not following anyone. Meanwhile, MGK has not posted anything on his Instagram page since January 27.

Megan Fox Accused Of ‘Backtracking’ After Initial Post

On Super Bowl Sunday, Fox shared a steamy mirror selfie that featured her posing in a revealing black top. In the caption, she dropped the lyrics to Beyoncé’s song “Pray You Catch Me,” writing, “You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath.”

This led many fans to speculate that Fox had caught MGK cheating on her, despite her Instagram statement denying third-party interference in their relationship. A few days after her statement was posted, a source told PEOPLE that she was “backtracking” her initial post.

“She’s now posted that there was no cheating, but she initially thought there was and now is backtracking a bit,” the insider alleged. “She was definitely hinting at infidelity with her first post. She regrets making it all so public, but was really upset in the moment.”

The source described the couple’s relationship as “crazy and intense,” adding, “yet it wouldn’t be shocking if they were back together completely by the end of the week.”

However, it seems that the couple’s relationship is on ice for now as they try to figure out whether or not they want to get back together.

Shortly after their headline-making split, the Daily Mail reported that the two had spent two and a half hours inside a marriage counselor’s office. Fox was said to have looked “visibly upset” as the two left in separate cars.
