20 Questions On Deadline Podcast: Rebecca Ferguson Talks ‘Silo’, ‘Mission: Impossible’ Memories & What She’d Watch In The Apocalypse

My guest this week is Rebecca Ferguson. She recently reprised her role of Lady Jessica with Dune: Part Two, and plays the lead role in Silo, Apple TV+‘s dystopian series about a community gone underground following an apocalyptic event. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer-reluctantly-turned-sheriff, who uncovers alarming secrets while investigating a mysterious death.

Here, Ferguson describes the “intoxicating” experience of making the show, working with showrunner Graham Yost and her EP role, plus the elaborate and stunning sets and VFX work that went into it all.

As for Season 2 plans, how close will the show adhere to Hugh Howey’s original book series, on which it’s based? “I couldn’t possibly say,” Ferguson laughs, “but can you guess? No, don’t guess!”

Ferguson also addresses whether her character of Ilsa Faust would ever make a posthumous appearance in Mission: ImpossibleDead Reckoning Part Two

And, as always on the podcast, we uncover some little-known facts, including Ferguson’s childhood card-playing expertise, her crush on Leonardo DiCaprio, the show she’d take with her into a nuclear bunker, and why she’d like Albert Einstein to invite her dinner.
