Alexandra Daddario Reveals ‘Taco And Ice Cream’ Diet Behind Impossibly Toned Body

Alexandra Daddario may be a fitness icon with rock-hard abs, but the 37-year-old has revealed that her diet includes plenty of cheat foods. The Baywatch star has made headlines for sharing exactly what she eats, also letting fans in on her philosophy when it comes to nutrition. In a nutshell, while she does aim for a healthy diet overall, Daddario doesn't feel that the odd cheat meal will kill you. The actress even lists tacos and ice cream as some of the foods she regularly eats.

'You Have To Allow Yourself To Cheat'


Speaking to People in 2017, Daddario revealed: “I eat when I’m hungry,” adding: “I try to stay away from anything unnatural, but if you are trying to stay healthy and you get too hungry, it will only be more difficult to stay away from things like too much sugar if you don’t give yourself what you want sometimes. I’m focused on being healthy and not stressing or obsessing over food.”

The Dior ambassador continued: “You have to allow yourself to cheat. I know if I have some ice cream at night it’s not going to affect me negatively. Enjoy your life!”

Diet Includes Tacos And Ice Cream


The reveal also gave fans a sample menu of how Daddario's plate can look in a day. A typical breakfast for her can include a tasty omelet with onions, mushrooms, and tomatoes, plus some extra vitamins from blueberries and melon. Meanwhile, she'll get a caffeine kick from a dairy-free, almond milk cappuccino. As to lunch, Daddario is a fan of smoothies with acai, bananas, berries, and Earthfusion protein, and she'll also whack in some almond butter and l-glutamine, plus coconut water.

A snack can easily be turkey meatballs for The White Lotus star, who then eats avocado tacos with salsa and lime for dinner or, alternatively, a quinoa bowl. Dessert? "½ cup of Rice Dream Mint Carob Chip frozen dessert."

Listing Her Favorite Healthy Eats


In a Muscle & Fitness feature, Daddario spoke of her love of yoga, also listing some of her favorite healthy foods.

"Salads, fish, and rice, especially before a workout. I keep Lara bars in my purse. I also love avocados. I’ll cut one in half, put some olive oil and salt on it—that’s a healthy and filling snack," she shared. Daddario is also a workout queen and packed on a ton of muscle for 2017 movie Baywatch.

'I Do A Ton Of Yoga'


Dishing on her exercise routine, Alexandra shared: "I do a ton of yoga. I find it more than just physically beneficial, but also emotionally. It’s great to take an hour to just chill out, be away from your phone, and focus on positivity."
